You don't get much better than this... Slade's third number one is an absolute classic. Also features on the album Slayed?, which sounds so good on the new splatter vinyl edition.

Me too. Though I was too young to remember this far back in the 70s. I'm 53 now and I'm blessed to have been alive then.

KISS were apparently inspired by Slade :)
@Alynn68 Жыл бұрын
They were all inspired by Marc Bolan and T.Rex...FACT!
@AthleticDesign Жыл бұрын
@Alynn68 I am a Bolan Fan first and foremost, and I am sure Kiss was influenced by T Rex (just listen to Mr Speed!) but I'd still say there is no other band that sounds as much as early Kiss as 71-73 era Slade.

Yes, and very obvious when listening to this song!

Quiet Riot tried to cover this song but they were a pale imitation of SLADE because they couldn’t STOMP like Noddy Holder,,,, they couldn’t CHEW GUM like Don Powell,,,,they couldn’t POINT like Dave Hill,,,,lol,,,,,and they couldn’t play VIOLIN like Jimmy Lea. No contest (Paul)
