It made the hairs on the back of my neck stand up the first time I heard "today we sing the Gilded Age's song / the twentieth century's dead and gone". So much of what is going on today is an echo of the late 19th century.

The thing is that you could throw a blanket over most of the music now as it's all the same. This is different. It's what makes him and a few others so enjoyable

I know he has toured a bit in Ireland. I just saw him live here in Michigan and before he played "breakfast in hell" he said this song goes over very well as a folk song everywhere but Ireland, where apparently not much was thought of it lol.
