Here is an example of a failed prophecy in the Bible. In Isaiah 19:1-8 Isaiah tells us the Nile will dry up, ocean drains in the time of pagan Egypt. This is an interesting prophecy because Isaiah outlines a very clear timeframe, the alleged prophet is unmistakably referring to Pagan Egypt, which ceased to exist in the 4th Century. (Isaiah 19:1-3) Since then, Egyptians have stopped using charms, wizards, and there are no statue-worshiping idolaters anymore, (Isaiah 19:3) so the reader can conclude this isn't an end times prophecy, unless one assumes they will resume doing these things. The alleged prophet blatantly identifies the dried up river (Isaiah 19:5) with the Nile (Isaiah 19:8). And he goes even further to say one of the seas Egypt borders will drain, and this appears to coincide with the Nile River drying up. There is absolutely no hint of this prophecy being interpreted symbolically or metaphorically. Isaiah actually goes out of his way to stress the literal, physical, carnal fulfillment of this prophecy. In Isaiah 19:18 Isaiah says Egyptians will learn the tongue of Canaanites Not only has the Canaanite language never been spoken by Egyptians, but it is now an extinct language. There is the very unlikely possibility Isaiah was referring to Hebrew, which is technically a Canaanite language. However, Hebrew was also never adopted by the Egyptians. And according to the context of this passage, Isaiah is specifically referring to Pagan Egypt, which ceased to exist in the 4th century. (See Above) So even if Egyptians started speaking Hebrew at this very moment, it would still be an inaccurate prediction, unless again they begin doing these things (highly unlikely). Also, it's worth noting that Isaiah believes the Egyptians will convert to Mosaic Judaism (a dead religion) and start offering sacrifices to the LORD shortly after this incident, (Isaiah 19:21) a practice no longer done by Jews since the Temple was destroyed and priesthood lost.

Kindly see - www.worldslastchance.com/ecourses/lessons/bible-study-lessons-ecourse/3/can-this-world-depend-on-yahuwahs-word-when-everything-has-failed.html B. EGYPT. Surely Egypt enjoys a glorious past. But what of today? Yahuwah's word records a prediction. Anciently, Egypt was famous for her supply of Papyrus, or paper to the world. The Papyrus reed grew bountifully along the river Nile, and other waterways. However, Yahuwah foretold that the paper reeds by the brooks and rivers would wither and vanish away, and be no more in the land of Egypt. And even this minute detail has been fulfilled. “The paper reeds by the brooks, by the mouth of the brooks, and every thing sown by the brooks, shall wither, be driven away, and be no more.” Isaiah 19:7.

@@fredwlcteam4264The waters of the river will dry up, and the riverbed will be parched and dry. 6 The canals will stink; the streams of Egypt will dwindle and dry up. The reeds and rushes will wither, 7 also the plants along the Nile, at the mouth of the river. Every sown field along the Nile will become parched, will blow away and be no more. 8 The fishermen will groan and lament, all who cast hooks into the Nile; those who throw nets on the water will pine away. 9 Those who work with combed flax will despair, the weavers of fine linen will lose hope. 10 The workers in cloth will be dejected, and all the wage earners will be sick at heart.; (Isaiah 19: 5-10) It says that the entire Nile river would dry up, that never happened The rest of the prophecy says that they will adopt the language of Cannan and convert to Judaism. None of those things in Egyptian history happened.

We now understand that 'Israel' ceased to exist as a nation in 70Ad when Jerusalem and the temple were destroyed. All such prophecies were fulfilled before or at that time. www.worldslastchance.com/bible-prophecy/the-importance-of-ad-70.html EXCERPT: When the Temple was destroyed, the sacrificial and priestly system of the Old Testament forever disappeared. It was the end of the age of the Old Covenant. To the Jews, it was the end of the world, as they had known it for over 1500 years. However, as a nation, they rejected their destiny even though Yahuwah gave them an entire 40-year transition period to repent. AD 70 marked the spiritual end of the Jewish nation. In modern times, they are as much loved by Yahuwah as every other nationality - no more, no less. AD 70 marked the end of the Jewish nation until recent history. Modern Israel is not the Israel of Bible prophecy any more than the Egypt of today is the Egypt of Bible prophecy. To try to make such an association is to misunderstand and misapply Scripture. Such violations of Bible Prophecy do a lot of damage today, both spiritually and politically. The true and faithful Israel - often referred to as the 'remnant' in the Old Testament - has blossomed to include people from all nations, as was Yahuwah's ultimate intention.

More failed Biblical prophecies. Isa 13:17-22 predicts the utter destruction of Babylon by the Medes. Cyrus never destroyed Babylon. Isa 14:24-27 - Assyria will experience its final destruction in a battle in the land of Israel. Never happened. Jer 46, esp vv. 24, 26, as well as 43:10-13 predict the conquering of Egypt by Babylon. Never happened. Jer 50-51 predicts the destruction of the city of Babylon. Cyrus didn't do this. Jer 50:4-5 predicts the return of the Northern kingdom when Babylon is destroyed. Never happened. Ezek 26m the oracle against Tyre predicting its complete destruction and plundering by Nebuchadnezzar. This one is interesting since not only did this not happen, Ezek 29:17-20 is aware of its failure and revises it.

How can the virgin in Isaiah 7:14 mean literal virgin when in the next chapter, Isaiah has sex with the woman to conceive the child that he spoke of in Isaiah 7:14. Doesn't this prove that the virgin in Isaiah 7:14 just means young woman? Isaiah 8:1-4 The Lord said to me, “Take a large scroll and write on it with an ordinary pen: Maher-Shalal-Hash-Baz.”[a] 2 So I called in Uriah the priest and Zechariah son of Jeberekiah as reliable witnesses for me. 3 Then I made love to the prophetess, and she conceived and gave birth to a son. And the Lord said to me, “Name him Maher-Shalal-Hash-Baz. 4 For before the boy knows how to say ‘My father’ or ‘My mother,’ the wealth of Damascus and the plunder of Samaria will be carried off by the king of Assyria.” How can this be interpreted as a prediction of the literal virgin birth of Jesus?

@@fredwlcteam4264 How can it be a second son when in chapter 8 the same prophecy is re-affirmed that was applied to the child in Chapter 7? Isaiah 8:4 For before the boy knows how to say ‘My father’ or ‘My mother,’ the wealth of Damascus and the plunder of Samaria will be carried off by the king of Assyria.” Isaiah 7:16- for before the boy knows enough to reject the wrong and choose the right, the land of the two kings you dread will be laid waste. Doesn't this show that its the same child being spoken of in both chapters?
