I honestly feel that the original iteration was better. Back then, perimeter shots were still 3 pts, same as dunks, which incentivizes drives to the rim. Also, per the rules, 1 player always had to stay back on offense, meaning that there's always a guy for rim protection on opponent fast breaks. This new iteration just doesn't have the same intensity as before, at least to me.

@@AnArchyRulzz Not just concussions. If my memory is correct one of the players in the championship game played with a broken hand, nose, and collar bone. The physicality of the game is what made slamball SLAMball. Now it just feels like a side show for entertainment more than a sport. But I'm sure they had to tone it back at that time since I doubt the pay was enough for medical as well as jeopardizes the league since there aren't enough players. I dont even think they ever had a draft. I feel like this was a smart for immediate business but in the long term the physical and intense style of slamball would have gathered respect from sports fans in the long term.
