It’s crazy to think magic,Kobe, and shaq could have played together if he stayed for a couple more months
@wobbafett24644 жыл бұрын
nice on paper but shaq would have massive problems with magic's ego at that point, see previous season
@Edd1e83 жыл бұрын
That wasn’t Magic in 1996. I always thought he was getting too big even in the 90-91 season to continue playing guard. Before 90, if you put a big man on him, he would make them pay because he can still dribble penetrate. Especially before 86. But later even when the centers switched on him in the high post is wasn’t much of a mismatch.

That press conference was the most fucked up sports press conference in my lifetime. It was essentially a living funeral for the guy. Because it was a certainty he would be gone in the next couple of years. And man, there were A LOT of players that spoke out against him. Especially Karl Malone.

The video has one major part wrong - magic did not return one year after retiring. He retired in 1991, made all star and olympics in 1992, and came back to nba I’m 1995, missing 3 seasons. It’s an easy thing to find online so I was kind of thrown off how that part was incorrect.
