For me this was an amazing ride, so intense and the (lack of) restraints really added to it. The slow roll, where you felt you were only being held in by your shoulders is a feeling that hasn't been replicated. RIP Slammer, best flat ride in history.

Warning - This ride is not for people who are scared of harnesses coming off during the ride. The first time you go upside down on this, your shoulder bar makes a clunk and it releases a little bit.

I went to thorpe park with my school last year and my friend and I went on this ride, on the opposite side, there was an entire class of 12 year olds who all came off crying! Am amazing ride but not for the faint of heart!

This ride was actually nuts, i dont fear rides or roller coasters and have been on many here in uk and usa on holiday. Slammer used to shook me up everytimeeeee especially when your going forward fam na man rip slammer , the one ride that got me gassed

Completely agree!! No ride has given me the fear as much as this one and I've been on many. Slammer was hands down, the most terrifying of all. I felt I was going to come out of my seat and the force of movement was insane.

So glad I got to ride this before it closed..got 4 goes on it and it's was really epic. May have been slow, but that just added to the suspense when upsidedown. As those restraints were straight out of a horror movie. Nowhere to hold on. You had no choice but to do no hands.

This video doesn't show how scary it is. When you are sitting on the back row and moving forwards you really feel like you are going to fall out. It is surprising how good the restraints are at keeping you in

I used to love this ride. A comeback is very unlikely though. Everything in that area is gone with the exception of some children's flat rides and rocky express. I'm hoping for something big in that area to make up for the loss of both this and the even better logger's leap.

Yes you can pull them down as tight as you want, I went on this first time today and I am quite small and felt very secure in the seats
