I love the little background you add to some of your videos it makes things very interesting. I’m not usually a fan of long freights especially intermodal they’re a bit boring but the perspective you have on this video is really cool. It looks like the train just comes on forever and is the best view of how long these freights can be

Your videos are so interesting, Jaw Tooth! A mini-travelogue in each one. I'm old, not just old school, and I can remember when trains were not covered in grafitti. To me that's not art, it's a lack of respect for someone else's property. Just a short hop and a skip from that to the wholesale thievery and looting of trains and trucks that goes on today! I like boxcars that look new, without extra paint. Actually, I always liked to see cabooses. They were cute! That little park is cute too! Take care!

Thanks for the trains up in NW Ohio. My old stomping grounds. It was funny and I told Steve also that last Thursday afternoon I tuned into the live railfan site for Deshler. I was watching when a guy stepped into view and I thought that guy looks a lot like Mr Tooth. I looked closer and sure enough it was you and then a little later I noticed Steve. You were waiting for a train that had stopped. It’s much better seeing the trains from ground level than on the different cameras mounted at the various sites. I look at the Deshler and Fostoria cameras several times a day. I’m guessing that’s about a three hour or so drive for you guys. For me it’s closer to a 7 or 8 hour drive so that’s a little too far to go very often. Thanks again!

You and misses tooth should go to Chesterton Indiana and spend the night there sometime there is constant action a whole bunch of Amtrak and the guy that runs the Rileys rail house is very nice and his cooking is very good his name is Rick and the building and all the other stuff they have there is nothing but old stuff saved by all the people in the town so all the buildings that are in the old style are one to two hundred years old and Rick the guy that runs the rail house is in charge of keeping all the old buildings in good shape. I was there just recently and I stayed in the new York Central boxcar and it was a wonderful experience and you can also stay upstairs in the upper birth and they have a balcony up there where you can watch the trains and get a great view easily without going far. Mr. Gibson, I had no idea what your last name was until I watched this video. Quite a few years ago before I started my channel, back in fall 2014, I had a rare train meet in my unincorporated community. Class III Lycoming Valley, owned by and an affiliate of the North Shore Railroad, met a westbound Class I Norfolk Southern empty coal train at the electronic switch for the Linden Wye heading back to Greene County, PA from Washingtonville in Northumberland County, PA. That Norfolk Southern train and its locomotives, which were most likely either ES44AC locomotives or EMD Dash 9 locomotives, was bookin’! The heck was the hurry, son? After Norfolk Southern passed the crossing and got off the circuit, the switch, lined up for Norfolk Southern by the dispatcher, automatically lined up for Lycoming Valley. The reason Lycoming Valley used Norfolk Southern’s line was because their line through Loyalsock Township and neighboring rival Montoursville was out of service due to their bridge being washed out by the flood waters that left me temporarily retired from go-kart racing and without a go-kart track to race on. Nowadays, coal trains through my community are rare but still happen. The Montour Power Plant, located in Washingtonville, PA, is still in use but sits idle.

Another great video Brian, I have to agree, overall box cars are the best but as just single cars go the older conrail coil cars and the Pillsbury cylindrical hopper is the best single picks.. I like when you get away from the cross roads park and give a different perspective on the place, I did a few different spots like that a few years ago just to break it up.. and you may already know this but just in case.. I spent a few hours in Leipsic, if you stop in Leipsic Ohio behind the funeral home is a diamond. East and West rolls NS and north south rolls CSX. And the CSX line runs right up to deshler so if your that way again might be worth a stop and look for ya.. appreciate the time you spend railfanning for your subscribers.. hope you have a good rest of your week..

Deshler where the diamonds are the destination. Always fun to watch the longer General Freights make those big curves and of course some of those cars sound like they don't want to make the turn... With your being at the diamond the last General Freight gave the perfect show. Just listen to the variations of the wheels across the diamond from the lengthy intervals with the auto racks then the mix with other cars and then the short staccato with the short frac sand covered hoppers. Someday you'll need to make a journey to Gibson City IL with Mainline add Shortline action plus a grain elevator with a former Wisconsin & Southern GP9. It's other claim to fame many years ago was that it was the first McDonald's to be set up in a town of under 5,000 population. Another fine visit to small town USA
