SubhanAllah The principle of punishment in Islam is if you are doing something that Damages Society (a crime that hurts someone else), then you should be punished in this world according to the laws of Allah, our Master. Islam protects the rights of women (purity, nobility and dignity).

I often get insults and bad comments when I go out. Sometimes, I overhear people talking bad about me even when I'm walking with my FATHER outside thinking we're something else. Their imagination is so broad. I try not to get affected by this but in some situations I can't stop the tears, especially that it happens frequently. Surat Ennoor and this khutba gave me some much needed relief. May Allah reveal the truth.

Very relevant and beautiful lecture. Unfortunately we live in communities Muslim and non Muslim that sometimes perpetuate gossip thus cause great damage and slander to reputations despite not having one iota of evidence. I hope that this lecture is widely viewed and shared to remind all of ourselves to mind our business and not engage in gossip and backbiting! And before you look down on other people just because of suspicion or a rumor you heard, look at yourself and focus on being a better person. Anyone that gains gratification by gossiping or slandering others has a diseased heart.

I am not religious and disagree with a lot of what is written in any religious text. But as with any religious text it can be interpreted in different ways. I think the way he interoperates the Quran is an example for others who teach its principles. And even though I disagree on representing any law and punishment on religious texts. I respect him as you see he loves his religion wholeheartedly and represents it in a positive way.

I really wish there’s a translation to Bahasa Melayu (Malay Language) for this khutbah. Infact, for ALL Ustadh NAK’s khutbahs. This is pure GEM! Muslims in Malaysia have been bickering for many years on the implementation of this Hudud Law. There’s soooo many wrong interpretation about it. Mostly revolve around revenge & making Allah looks like He’s in favour of taking revenge. This makes Islam looks bad and barbaric and a religion that favours punishment over compassion & mercy.

Can i still not talk when my muslim roommate is taking a bath at night, putting on a lot of perfume and going out without hijab, knowing that she has bf in the next block and people are saying that she is heading there? And she comes home early morning and goes to sleep almost whole day, just to wake up, bathe and perfume the next night. May Allah forgive us for thinking badly about her. Ps, her bf, one day came at our gate and i did not let him in. I banged the gate so loudly in front of him.
