To be honest, as soon as I heard Love Is Gone with all the other tracks on the album, I instantly felt the growth in Slander's production quality. They've come a long way but they do "lack" (don't if that's the right word) in a few aspects . Also , Walk On Water takes time to grow on you. I had to sit down and listen to it for a couple hours to like it.

Yeah that's true, first I didn't liked that much. But then I hade some beautiful Moments in my life while the Track was on. Now Walk on Water is one of my favorite Song.

Fun fact: JT Roach made a song called A Prayer Away after 3 of his family members died in one month. This song “Watch Over Me” is somewhat about that and also a follow up to it.

I think we can all agree that walk on water and love is gone could both benefit from nurko remixes :) love is gone is more known for the acoustic version which I love, and i think walk on water has great acoustic potential.

To my surprise, Kill Me With Silence with Medyk was my favorite. It has such an emotional and cinematic feel. If it had a drop or two, it would be a 10/10. Still such a great piece imo!

Before Dawn and Second Life are techno I believe, the boys said they made their first techno song at their Shrine LA show when they debuted Before Dawn live. I like Second Life better but I also think techno is better live with hella pyro and other visuals

I get what you are saying about the tracks, but I personally really enjoy their style of music. But for "Walk On Water" It needs a heavy drop, it built it all up and then it was just really calm for the drop.

The Crystal Skies Remix of Love is Gone and the Gemini Remix of Walk on Water are amazing. The album versions aren't as good, that is a fact, but the base versions of those songs have led to some great remixes.

Totally agree. The vocal from Love Is Gone is amazing, but the original version has quite literally the most dissapointing future/melodic bass (buildup +) drop I've ever heard.

I don’t mind this album. The songs on their own, say for Monster, are pretty nice on their own. As far as them being part of an album I don’t think it makes for a good album. There’s songs I come back to a lot like Halfway Down, Walk On Water, Replay and Watch Over Me but the other ones not so much. To me, Monster is the worst song on the album. I can’t stand that song and if I ever see slander live I might just tune that song out. I even like Before Dawn and Second Life more than Monster. Overall, this album was mid for me. It’s not terrible but it’s not great either. It’s just fine to me. I think Before Dawn and Second Life are both Techno. I might be wrong but that’s what they sounds like. I don’t mind them and I think that’s because I’ve been getting more into techno lately

I say it again. This album is allright. I dont like them releasing basically half the album as singles and Love is Gone being on it at all does not make any sense to me. The new singles were allright, i like that they went somewhere new, especially with Kill me with Silence and Watch over me. I really liked Nothing hurts like goodbye. The Techno songs are not my thing, but again i appreciate their will to go somewhere new. 6/10 from me.

SLANDER isn't my cup of tea tbh. The buildups are often way too long, and the drops are anticlimactic. But yeah, Thrive wasn't the best melodic EDM album.6 or 5 out of 10 for me.
