I've known Juan for many years, and it's good to see him getting his due. My time working with him was great fun, and it was always a pleasure to get photos of his work in progress each week. I'm not sure he ever knew but whenever his parcels of Greens arrived from Spain I used to have a massive crowd of people waiting to see what he had sent us !

Had absolutely no idea that Juan's wife worked on the Forgeworld Chaos Dwarfs, they are some of my favourite models!

It’s nice when you get to see that a person who you are a fan of artistically, is also an engaging person to listen to (and sounds like probably a great bloke)

Another awesome interview! I hope some of those unreleased sculpts find their way to ToW.

This interview is one of your best. I just love this guy, I wish he was my dad. Weirdly Wham went to my school. Maybe you can get an interview with Andrew Ridgley? Anyway, I remember, when new minis came out, the excitement of seeing this guys stuff was on a par with new Jess Goodwins. Heady days Edit :Ahh Juan, not wham - I only ever remembered the Diaz

I just got my hands on the metal 40k daemon prince. It's still the best DP sculpt released by GW.

Love Juan's sculpts! Seeing them when released as a kid they always struck me as the next level of GW, less chunky and more natural and weird.

for the history blog - star date 2025 hero quest & second 40k ed - are the seconded most common box-set to find on the second hand market back in the day - so i think Spain was the second most market saturation - i think OZ collectors of GM product , had a harder time to pick up stuff in the 80/90 than the Spanish collectors

i have multiple, space crusade, dungeon q and 2 ed 40k, rule books in Spanish ??? why , i live in England - why so much Spanish, on second hand market ? were we shipping it all back over ? flee markets would have three to one spanish Vs english
