Really nice to hear the lineage culturally, and personally, in your journey with picking technique.Also nice for people to understand that you have a diverse live and recording history.

That is so flipping awesome Roy -playing with the Kazakhstani sarod players - 🙏🙏🙏🙏🌏✌️🎶🎸😱🥰

It was in Kazakhstan I had a sit down with virtuoso musicians who played the ‘Dombra’ Mostly open hand techniques. But it was in Uzbekistan in 2002 I got an education on actual undiluted ‘Sarod’ playing. Quite an experience!

Do you have any thumbpicks available? I've been working on a fingerstyle approach, but I'd like to approximate your picking technique for adding single note passages,

Roy has a steel fretless guitar now???!! Too much power...
@LawofThree8 күн бұрын
@@SixEightSixty Had that guitar custom built in 1993. A good four years before Vigier put the surfretter out. I should do a video on that guitar. It’s quite a story. Used to be an old 1989 Ibanez 560

@@LawofThree You should definitely make a video about it, its really cool. Also I didn't fully understand what you meant by using wrist and forearm rotation together, do you think you could further explain it?
