Something very reliable and comforting in the fact that Slapshot have not changed. I used to think they sounded repetitive and derivative until I realized that they invented (or at least popularized) this sort of straight-forward, 4-chord, growling-vocal hardcore. Everyone else sounds derivative and repetitive! *Saw them in 1988, 1992, 1993 in Boston and it was as bloody and as wild as you can imagine.

One of the first HC bands I've ever seen, 20 years ago at Huxley's in Berlin playing with Walls of Jericho, Seven Seconds and Unearth. Won't ever forget that night!
