For the people asking in this video slash uses his Gibson AFD prototype (the very first afd guitar to be put into production) and his marshall SL5 prototype too (very first sl5 amp before the production model). Also his tone in this video is so fucking cool and this is perhaps my favourite guns song of all time :)

@@julianfarias6951 no problem, it was his prototype SL5 so it may be different to the ones you and i could buy today however i have a production SL5 and they are a fantastic amp and incredibly loud too 😎👍

@@totrodder97 I was thinking on buying one used here in Argentina. But I never knew if with this amp you can get the sound of tokyo 92 or even tones like the ones in november rain. Since those are the sounds that likes me the most!

@@julianfarias6951 the SL5 is great at getting that slash tone however it is warm sounding like on the AFD album to get that live in Tokyo sound (silver jubilee amp) I use a Marshall guvnor 2 distortion pedal in the SL5 to boost the treble and gain a little bit more, hope this helps

hard to say who is the best guitarrist of all times,cause there are so many diferents styles of playing guitar.Slash´s tone is,for sure,one of the best tones you will ever hear,hendrix style is almost impossible to reproduce,and page feeling on stage is something that you will probably never find again. that said,i my humble opinion the best is actualy steve vai, i mean,he is a showoff but he is amazingly creative,and moves from scale to scale on an amazing pace.

Mika Sihite no offense but have you lost your head? Slash is an amazing guitar player but Jimmy page is on an another level altogether. One stairway to heaven song and the different parts and versions of it defeats all the other songs that guns and roses have ever written.

@@MYDOT9most of led Zeppelin songs are slow and dull....to be honest there are only 3 led Zeppelin songs I like. Stairway to heaven because of that solo, Kashmir and babe m gonna leave you rest of songs so Fucking slow and boring!!! Guns n roses are great they are my favorite band.....so many great songs... welcome to the jungle, sweet child o mine, November rain, Paradise city, Rocket queen, you could me mine, estranged, don't cry...the list goes on and on...I don't even understand why led Zeppelin were soooo overrated...yes they had very talented members like John Bonham, Robert plant and Jimmy page but honestly I don't like their songs except the 3 songs I mentioned.
@daw1626 жыл бұрын
Manan, I don't think you play guitar. Jimmy Page is interesting, but he's not the guitarist that Slash is. He's been doing it longer and grew up in a different era, but the two are pretty far apart in terms of capability. Or put more plainly, there's nothing that Jimmy Page plays that you couldn't play if you were a dedicated student for a couple of years, including all of the leads. they're great to learn from because of that. Branching out to guitarists like Slash and Marty Friedman is a much taller order, though, and it requires a lot more repetition after you've already gotten to the Page level of playing. Doesn't have anything to do with which you'd rather listen to. I like both (all three if you add Friedman). We don't have to choose, it's a false dilemma. I can't even say I like Slash better than Page, because I don't. But Slash is a far more advanced guitarist than Page ever was, Friedman is perhaps another step up - completely different sound, but it's hard to say that Friedman is better than Slash or make some comment like that - Slash doesn't tend to try to show you all of his tricks, and neither ever got repetitive or sterile.
