Australia here G#! Glad i found you. No-one bloody shows people how to *riff* like slash - they just transpose a few songs. But you Mr G# do! I do kind've agree with some of these comments, I'd love it if you slowed it down, explained the things that you take for granted. Literally tell us about anything. What helped you the most when you learned the riff. Maybe certain fingers are tense? Are they all loose? Are you gripping the 5th and 6th strings hard, or anchoring them in a certain way? what angle is your wrist at, are you hitting the string with a certain part of your pinky, there's millions of little things you can throw in there and man - WE WILL EAT that sh1t UP :))) You rock mate, thanks heaps for your vids. very much looking forward to your next one. Peace and goodwill man

tssss, pure gold!! I was busy as well with other version of that lick but you've got the real slash style hombre! maybe an idea is to combine later the slash licks 1 and 2 in a solo so that way we can start building a slash endless solo...i think thats the dream of a lot us; being able to slash out endless...thank you a lot!!!!

Excellent lesson. This lick is also really very cool. And the variations are helpful too. Thanks.
@NekromanKim8 жыл бұрын
Thanks a lot man! To me, this lick is one of the most basic Slash licks - he includes it to almost every solo. I've been playing it for long, but you showed some variations I did not pay attention to before. Thanks again! You the man!

G Sharp, Love your playing and would a great lick. I absolutely love this style of play. SLOW DOWN man when your breaking down the lick. You are all over the place. Then you play something along the same lines but different. Play the lick break it down SLOWLY note for note. Tab would be cool but understand if you don't want to tab it out. Then talk about key points/Techniques/tips. Then show us some other ideas/variations on the original lick.Slowly. You're great at not repeating yourself. You never play the same lick the same way twice. That'is a extremely useful skill as a guitar player. Show us how to do that. If get good at presenting this material it could lead to DVD/Download series of lessons., a Truefire Course. Instruction books. You name it.

this is such a usefull lesson...u nailed that style. i totally agree with him...just slow down a little bit...makes it easier to see what ur playing...especially the parts ur playing after the mainlick ur showing...btw thats the style that slash played extremly at the early 90s and late 80s...unfortunately slash plays way to fast now imo so u cant hear the dirty blues he used to play. add me on instagram cag_son it would be a pleasure!!

Great video G! Love your lick. I really need this kind of lesson to improve my skill!! And I think it would be better if you slow down and also show how your right hand pick the strings! it's alternative picking or sweep picking it would help a lot!!! Thank you man!

Hey man, sick licks! Have you done a video about blending the pentatonics with harmonic minors/major scales? It'd be interesting to hear your take on it just bc Slash does it so well

Hey G#Sharp cool idea you should do in your slash lick videos would be that after you teach the lick, when you're demoing it jamming throughout the video, you should slow down your jams so we can pick up on those cool runs you do. I think that's the coolest part just hearin you play those slash runs, and if you played your runs slowly we could pick them up and learn them as well.
