I'm a huge fan of ol' Hockey Mask, as I call Jason, but all of those guys are great at being scary af. The Merkins, when they're doing the 'Slashstreet Boys' are really, really good at parodying the Backstreet Boys, down to some of the mimic'ed choreography and everything.

I had totally forgot about this parody. There were so many parody songs back in the late 2000s and early 2010s, with "the Key of Awesome" being one of the biggest ones. Anyways this was great and I'm glad Ken caught that Jason and Michael bring the lead singers despite never saying a word in their respective movies, and no we don't count Rob Zombie's 2007 remake.

I think Jason is arguably more iconic than Michael which is funny because originally Friday the 13th was made with heavy inspiration from Halloween.

True Jason probably is more iconic at this point, but Michael was the original king of slashers and you're right, inspired by Michael Myers. Did you see the Movies that Made us on Netflix about the movies? The creators straight up admitted they copied the formula of Halloween when making the original Friday the 13th (which, granted, Jason wasn't technically in until the end) 🤗

As for being scared, when I was a kid in the seventies there was a movie on tv called trilogy of terror. The third part is all I remember, about a voodoo doll come to life trying to kill this girl in her house. It may seem corny I today's technology but it god the job done then. I think its even on youtube.

That was actually pretty freakin entertaining lol. And yeah, I don't think Leatherface ever really "talks" either. I've only ever heard of him shrieking and yelling incoherently. He's pretty vocal, but not very good with words lol. I think I've only ever seen one of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre movies, and it was SOME time ago. My personal foundation in classic horror movies is actually pretty sad, truth be told. I think the only Freddy Kreuger movie I've seen is the Freddy vs Jason one, and for Mr. Voorhees the only other one of his I've seen is Jason X. Don't think I've ever seen a Michael Myers horror movie (unless you want to count The Love Guru, that was pretty horrifying...but wrong Mike Myers lol). I HAVE seen all the Scream movies to date, at least. But you can see my pattern there, I suppose. I'm not as big on true "scary movies", preferring stuff that's way less serious and doesn't try to be all that scary. Like, never saw the original Child's Play movies, but I DID watch a few of the flat "Chucky" ones. Just prefer to laugh rather than jump lol.

You totally need to give the first Childs Play film a try. It is actually quite funny which is one of the reasons I like Childs Play movies. Also for Nightmare on Elm Street. Just watch 1 and 3. And the first Halloween is a must. I am not into scary movies either and prefer lighter stuff, but Bethany LOVES a good horror film. Which is odd because she grew up on Disney and I grew up on horror (cuz my older brothers watched them and I wanted to be cool but was terrified). I hadn't seen ET until like 2 years ago 😂. If you have HBO I think you can catch all the Nightmare on Elm Street movies on there for Halloween. And the Childs Play movies might be available on USA Sci Fi to stream as they are trying to promote the tv series. 👻👻👻

Lol, I watch this a few times a year. They have a lot good ones on their channel, but this one is just perfect. Leatherface even got a solo. As for who’s my favorite? Freddy is the one that had the biggest impact on me growing up. He was both creepy, disgusting and terrifying. I hated everything about him so I was rooting for Jason in the Freddy vs Jason movie. I didn’t care much for any of the others.

Yeah they did this quite well, and having Jason and Michael be the lead singers and Freddy be the humor in it was spot on. Freddy always scared me as a kid but was also my favorite. Dreams are fascinating and I loved his humor and the makeup on him was perfect. The reboot makeup somehow was terrible. Not sure what they were doing there. 😝
