I've used this system for a couple of years now, and it has worked very well for me actually. I track a lot of harmonies by myself, so being able to switch and separate them by "using" different mics in the mix is a great convenience

Yeah, there's a ton of beneficiary, and honestly it sounds great and I think you have to spend quite allot more to exceed the Ml-1 in terms of quality. I'm interested to see how it sounds with my Neve/V76. Thanks for watching 🙏

I've had ML-1 for a couple of years and ended up selling it.

Great video as always Christian! I've had every modelling mic and IMO this is by far the worst. Compared to originals and clones I have, it does not sound even similar and also, as most of the Slate products, tends to sound harsh. The tune it is supposed to be finally approved by the Steven so I guess there is something wrong with his hearing. Mics from Antelope sound more similar to me and the clear winner by far is the Townsend L22, a great sounding mic by itself and modelling very similar to the originals.

Hey! Thanks for checking out the video. I do think the Blackbird sounded the most similar to the originals I've compared it to. It's still a competent product. I want to explore it a bit more, maybe try it with a good tube preamp which I have incoming 😊 Cheers!
