How many times has this frontman let his bandmates down over almost half a century? This version of the BAND are giving their all, he can't wait to get back to the boozer, he even forgot the words/timing ! And this was 19 years ago, this is not the original line up (Mick on guitar is obviously) ,but the rhythm section aren't BUT they are doing a great job here! Years later this frontman tried (and failed miserably) to licence the name of the band in his own name, away from the original members, can you believe that? Well it is true, and he failed! HE is such a difficult guy, but not very clued up or wise (despite having been married several times ,and is now in his late 60's), he has alienated himself from all of his former bandmates and friends? This band (original members) were on the same bill as ; The Sex Pistols, and Buzzcocks at the second gig at 'The Lesser Free Trade Hall, Manchester' in 1976, one of 'two' of the most iconic gigs of all musical history, this man (WAYNE) should be mentioned as a great 'FRONTMAN OF A MANCHESTER BAND' alongside the likes of ;Pete Shelley, Howard Devoto, Ian Curtis, Ian Brown, Liam Gallagher, Eddie Garrity, Tim Booth, Mick Hucknall, Mark E Smith, David Wilkes, Morrissey, Tom Hingley, Tim Burgess, Graham Gouldman, Allan Clarke, Freddy Garrity, Peter Noone, Paul Young ,Frank Sidebottom/Chris Sievey, Jim Dooley etc etc etc ! BUT the reality is; NOBODY apart from the people he grew up with really knows who he is or really cares! How SAD is that ? But he has brought all of it on himself, he should be 'rolling in dough, working ,say 4 to 8 months a year, attending conventions, festivals, reunions, merch stalls, new music, tribute nights etc etc etc ! If your ambition is to be a 'GREAT FRONTMAN' of a band , and make a difference in life and some nice dough for your later years ! DO NOT follow the path of this CNUT! He's been married at least 4 times? Do you not think that there are 'lessons in life' to be learned? The Latest one has just about DESTROYED his career! As I said he is in his late 60's! What a shame! dx
