whatever one may think of Russia, they certainly have one of the most beautiful musical traditions on the planet. So stirring and colorful--I love listening to everybody from Glinka (here) to Stravinsky--and wish for a vodka tonic and blini while doing so!! Spossiva friends!!

This is nothing short of a miracle. It appears the second secret of Fatima has come to fruition. I am a Catholic, but I do realize the Orthodox faith is the closest thing we have to the religion of the early church. To see an entire nation who has been discouraged by the government to practice thier faith for 70 years come to this awakening may just be the most inspiritional thing I have ever seen. And thanks to Mr. Putin, whatever his motives may have been. God bless and save Holy Russia.

We both are pioneer nations, America had its Wild West...Russia had its Wild East, we are both spacefaring nations, we both are Christian lands, we are both scoffed at by the Western Europeans, China makes us both nervous, we both desire independent freedom from international organizations, we both face a threat from Muslim Extremist, we both have projected our militaries worldwide...COME TOGETHER!
