If I'm not mistaken, this was the last song of the set. One thing I've always seen from Cornell, from the early days to even now, 2013, he performs the hardest songs when I think he shouldn't. Not only that, he performs it well. Not only that, he's already performed many other very difficult songs beforehand. Not only that, his catalog of songs is pretty much impossible to perform by any other human being. I think I've said enough.
@unowhavethebiggay14304 жыл бұрын
Well if you put the hardest songs at the end you don't have to worry about blowing out your voice early in the set
@EmptyDomoKanti994 жыл бұрын
u now have the big gay he also puts his all into songs that are pretty intensive in earlier parts of the set ( if i’m not mistaken, they were also doing 2 hour sets )
@leons.kennedy15713 жыл бұрын
I like how you said his catalogue is pretty much impossible for any other human being. Obviously there are really good singers that can do it, but I’m a pretty decent singer, and can sing along to most of my favorite bands and hit all the notes, but I don’t know if it’s his range or the rasp he puts in his voice, but I just cannot sing most Audioslave and Soundgarden songs, with some exceptions for the easier ones of course. I was trying to sing along to the first Audioslave album last night and basically just gave up a few songs in and let my voice rest.
@NeoGodHand3 жыл бұрын
@@leons.kennedy1571 Hey! Consider my original comment here a bit biased lol. I was definitely wrong. It was damn near 10 years ago, woah! Indeed, now I'm sure there are many who can sing his songs. I myself have put in the practice and can sing pretty much all of SG/TOD/AS songs. Problem is, I'm a tenor. Hitting the notes isn't necessarily too much of a problem, it's that my voice is significantly lighter. As you stated, I think the best part of Chris' voice is the distortion and timbre he can create with it. His tone on songs like Right Turn or Burden in My Hand is just awesome, but when I try to sing the way Chris does, it sounds too tinny and thin. I just end up singing them straight, but dammit if I didn't wish I could sound like Chris.

The 90s was a great fucking time to be going to shows and getting into heavy music. I saw Soundgarden play at the Warfield in San Francisco in late '91 and they simply tore it up. Just an incredible hard rock performance. Then I saw them on the '92 Lollapalooza tour. Also good. The vocal ferocity is delivered with such unflinching confidence and riffs could collapse a 20 storey building. I don't know any other time that Cornell has sounded as good.
