I hope you can get to a place where you're doing better. I promise it's possible. It's a shitload of hard work, but a better life is achievable. And I say that as someone who was a junkie for years. But now I'm in a place where I'm doing far better, and ironically, I took that skill I learned from such a dark place in my life, and turned it into a career. Spent years sticking needles in veins and I got really good at it, and now I do it for a living, drawing blood at a hospital to help patients get better. Personally, i think it's awesome that I've been able to take a thing like that and use it for something good, and there's a certain beauty about being able to use something that was part of my addiction originally to help heal people now. Anyway, point is, it can get better if you work at it. i can't promise life will always be easy,. but I can at least promise that after a while, the addiction bit gets easier, and you think about it less and less, and it slowly loses it's grip over your life until it doesn't own you anymore. Anyway, just wanted to say that. Oh, and if you're looking for another band that has a ton of great music (I happen to find them incredibly relatable and cathartic anyway), check out Citizen Soldier. They help me every fucking day
