most amazing closing track on the album. Also, jonny's last song with any band (dgd , emarosa, slaves). Final song on the album of Slaves' 3rd album. Jonny went ahead and bowed out with the most elevating track ever. The final breakdown is so sincere when the band kicks. "we can get through this, these tougher days"

Nobody’s perfect, everyone has flaws and it’s only up to us to become better. I’ve grown up listening to Jonnys songs weather it was Emarosa, Dance Gavin or even Slaves. His music is relatable to everyday life problems. Despite what he’s done or hasn’t done he’s a human and like him we all make mistakes. Weather he betters himself is up to him but he has one hell of a voice and his lyrics are unreal. Hands down probably my favorite vocalist.

To everyone who commented "Who's here after taylor nicole dean's video" -- thanks for spreading the info. Im a casual fan of Jonny, love his voice. He needs to get help though. For all those women who came forward, hope they get help as well. It's not just about the truth, as a therapist, we look at how experiences and people affect clients - and clearly, his effect on those who came forward have been traumatic. Their subjective truth matters, same as Jonny's subjective truth. Get help man

I guess the "painting the walls with blood" thing was just a rehearsal for this video then? 🤔 I hope after this he and everyone affected by his behaviour have the courage to get the help they need tho...
@KarinMichelle
@KarinMichelle 4 жыл бұрын
What she meant when she said “painting blood on the walls” is when your IV use drugs your veins collapse & after a while you have trouble finding one. So you will sit there sometimes for HOURS poking yourself with a needle trying to find a vein and sometimes you bleed but it’s not in a vein and that blood gets in the needle if you squirt it out quick enough you can get the blood out before it mixes with the h/water (cuz when it mixes it coagulates & clogs the needle) well messy addicts just squirt the blood out at the wall or floor because it can take to much time to get up and go to the trash or sink. Hints the phrase “writing with blood on the walls....”

This music is pretty incredible, saying this after 110+ Grateful Dead concerts so hard emo rock isn't my normal jam *big Adam Duritz and Counting Crows fan too, though, but that's a BIT more similar in style to my normal likes than this. Still I'm honestly considering buying this whole thing on iTunes. (LOVE Blue October & Modest Mouse too, so with those being my normal top 5 bands, I may be converted, he's got some real talent, hope he's doing ok since the breakup, saw on his Instagram that his broken heart is filling LOTS of new studio time, great for his fans would seem).

I've been in Taylor's shoes. Her story was like a 1000% retelling of mine. It's crazy. I'm 6 years sober from what I let my ex do to me but I take blame as well because I didn't run when it started happening. I thought I needed to help him when I was pulled into hell with him. Jonny is beyond talented and a human being. I don't think he deserves to be put down daily by people who don't know him. There's two sides to every story. I'm thankful that Taylor spoke up but she didn't want everyone to push him down. We don't know either of them. We weren't there. I just hope they both can live with their choices in life from this point on and be happy. 🖤

My favorite song of the album. The entire album is amazing and really exerts the issues of regret, lonelines, guilt, arrogance, shame, and even optimism that one feels when going through unstable relationships. This album also portrays how broken we are and how we bring those bad qualities into relationships and expect things to fix themselves-not knowing that our only best help is from ourselves and not from anyone else.

This is one of the most powerful songs that i have ever heard and I feel that this song captures the struggle of addiction flawlessly. I’m happy his music isn’t corny since being sober Being sober is a great thing and y’all might have diff opinions but for me, it seems like artists weaken up on songs after sobriety.. Eminem, schoolboy q, there’s some other ones out there (talking about artists addicted to opiates) Happy j craig can be sober and can continue to make great music Also, I’m not saying making music is > than living a sober and healthy life... being healthy is important

Cristina M SAME!! Since the day "I'd rather see your star explode" was released, that's my most played song, on iTunes. There's only a few bands that I genuinely get nervous for, in terms of how good their new album is gunna be. Anything jonny does, is at the top of that list. I was not disappointed. Rarely does the album surpass, what I hope it will. Beautiful Death is incredible

Addiction is a bitch. We can all talk shit about Johnny but until you walk in his shoes, cant ever understand. Drugs turn people into monsters. Best person can become your worst nightmare. Lived with one for almost a year and it was hell. Because you want to help, because you've seen the best part of them, but only they can help themselves.

That song hit me right in my soul. I'm so fucking glad that Jonny is making his way up to himself. Damn, it's so rewarding to see him getting up, even tho he can only imagine how much someone at thousands of miles away is cheering for him to keep up the great work he always did and most importantly on becoming a better person, not to someone, but firstly for himself. I'm amazed how powerful this song is, the feeling that slaves has right now. Can't wait to rock with them live.

@@kaleighwebb2561 yeah one thing I noticed with her is how much blame she put on him. :"I did heroin so he would like me" it's such bs she is an addict because of her choices, they were both toxic and he moved on to have a family but she just couldnt deal with it so she used her big platform to talk a bunch of crap about him. I'm sure he has plenty of horror stoies about her as she is a heroin addict aswell who is still using, if anything he moved on and shes still on the heroin train

Jonny needs help, man. These lyrics remind me of how I used to romanticize my drug use at the height of my addiction. Thank God for Recovery🙌 Regardless of what anyone says about him, it is evident by his choice of lyrical content that he’s struggling internally. I really hope he gets the help he desperately needs.... because this MASTERPIECE of a voice needs to be heard by a wider audience. He is truly a talent... and it’s going to be a waste soon if he does not seek help while he has any shred of insight left inside him.

He could definitely still sing like he did in Emarosa. This is just a different kind of band. He had a cult following in Emarosa, but never blew up. With this band, he can reach a larger audience singing with more of a rock feel than a post-hardcore feel. He hasn't passed his prime.
