Slay the Spire: Ironclad Any% in

As it turns out, my previous record stood for less than a day before being snatched back by AntiFlame. On the other hand, his record was even shorter lived. This run crushes not only my previous record, but also my previous sum of best. I'm pretty sure it also contains at least 15 seconds of time loss in Act 1 alone, so I feel pretty confident that sub-5 will arrive eventually.
This run stood as WR for a whopping 2 days before being beaten by AntiFlame (by 1 second).

Amazing run, Speerunners like you totally changed my playstyle. Dynamic damage decks with a fast pace are just more fun to me now than "playing it safe" with block when the game is designed to fuck you in the long run if you drag out a fight.

Why not try to get a "second wind" to exhaust your defends while you actively remove your strikes at shops? If you then ever happen to not draw a whirlwind on a turn, you can just exhaust all your defenses with second wind, making sure you have whirlwind on all other turns.

I think that might be on purpose...maybe having fewer unlocked relics & cards in the potential pool makes you more likely to get Whirlwind, Flex, etc.?

Fr0zenEagle thats the point, if you have all cards unlocked then you have a lower chance of getting certain more important cards like whirlwind, flex or offering, so he buys a new account and tries on that because he has higher chances of getting those cards

It was a joke, just so you know. There's no way anyone with that little experience in a game can casually destroy the previous world record after already having had the world record at least once. Though I don't think he actually purchases a new account, as there's probably a way to remove your local/steam cloud save file to reset your progress. As I understand it, the only stat you can't reset is your total Heart damage, as it's a global stat bound in the game through Steam.

You can find a file "UnlockProgress" in the game's folder that contains in plain text the Unlocks you've... unlocked with each class.

because the timer is click based. meaning: he has to click a button for it to stop. after the run, he has to look at the exact moment that he loses control over the game, which here is probably 5:32. (i haven't checked)

Right after you select the ironclad, what looks lika a splice happens, you mouse teleports and what looks like the map fades into the background. Tho i dont know much about the game, could just be so sort of glitch or something. Looks fishy either way

Could be, but there's literally zero reason to splice it in that spot. So I doubt it. Anyway, splicing Slay The Spire would be incredibly hard, maybe even harder than getting a legit run. You'd have to have three different runs, with identical decks, relics, gold, health, etc. So many things have to align that depend on the RNG that it should be virtually impossible to impossible to splice three best segments together, unless you magically aligned all these factors. The only thing I could think of would be using cheating software to "fix" the segments so they look like they would be from the same run, but I have no idea if that's possible and even then it would still require a lot of effort.

DaBa Im not saying that the whole run is spliced, just that the first part of it is kinda weird. Also, you can replay fights if you save and quit during it (if they didnt fix it), this could probably be used to splice runs

If you look at almost any run of Slay the Spire, you'll see the same thing. The game doesn't do a graphical update while the first level is being loaded, which causes the mouse to teleport to the new position if you move it. The in-game timer is connected to the graphical updates too, so it also doesn't increment during the level load.

These save file runs are a joke.one extra energy off the bat... Then block whenever you don't have any.try actual speed running 100% complete /currently completed file. Then I'd be impressed .anyone could run these save files n click fast. Also for a game that revolves round random items you are cutting the random aspect out by using someone's old save.

Lapkap think you find it is. You can find the file for this run online.they all do it. Unless you see them show the properties of the save /load state file on any game you can almost be 100% certain its seeded. Hence why they don't show it. Just makes me laugh that people like yourself get kidded into believing all these runs are legit. Then you get salty cause someone's called out something on one of your favorite speed left clickers vids.
