Album underated to the point of the need for public hanging. I never got why this album wasnt considered top tier. SO FUCKIN AWESOME & THEY PLAYED THE SONGS SO WELL LIVE. FUCK! THIS ALBUM IS 1 OF THE BEST METAL ALBUMS EVER. I remember when it came out. Couldnt wait for it & I was fuckin blown away. And still am. So deppressing to see the bands I grew up to, getting old & retiring or dropping down the list or just not as good. FUCK TIME GOES TO FAST! I was 13 in 1990. Where the fuck the time go?????. Also how can I be a "fanboy" if my opinion is quite unpopular and always gets reactions like this (exactly because of fanboys) more or less passive-aggressive ones. And Yes, I do agree his double bass was always sloppier than Lombardo's, but that is not ALL in my opinion too. It is just the vibe the drummer gives you, and it is most of the time subjective thing. He deteriorated compared to what he was before I meant. Taste is subjective, sir ;-)

@papai-by3bo Well, lets not take the studio work as a proof, because in studio anyone can play whatever and the sound guys will make it sound good. But Bostaph on some lives actually have some steady double bass - not as Dave's but still. And yes, I like his work on the hands too - we don't argue here basically. Also, yes, I might have been softer in my critique towards him 10 years ago, but how am I so, admitting all this stuff about nowadays Paul's playing. I`ve watched him live in Romania in 2019 and yeah.. the double bass parts (the fast ones) he was very very sloppy. Let me disagree about something you stated though. You say the fanboy speaks inside of me, but in the same time you get offended when I said that Paul's double bass is sloppier than Dave's, because you can't wrap your head around 'HOW DARE I TO PUT THEM IN ONE SENTENCE WITH LOMBARDO', and even "UNFAIR TOWARDS"... even though this sentence admits Lombardo is better with the double bass... THIS to me sounds very fanboy. He is sloppier and always been, but I prefer his hand technique and style more (and creatiivty in a way). Other than that, I do agree with most of the things you say, even though you are writing with passive-aggressive tone, but it is ok, you are not the first one I`ve met around here regarding the subject, lol. @papai-by3bo I didn't count the tempo of the songs, but DI has some fast double bass like "Sex. Murder. Art." or "Circle of Beliefs"... I guess it goes around 190-200 bpm area. Anyway I don't think Slayer has songs much faster than 200.. sure some 205, 210... but faster than that I don't think they have nor they need. But yeah as a not a Slayer fan DI gets my attention definately drumwise, for the reasons you`ve mentioned overall.
