This album gets a TERRIBLE rap from people who have never bothered to really listen to it. It's second ONLY to Season in the Abyss. Yeah, I said it. Reign in Blood is 3rd at best. Maybe 4th behind World Painted Blood. Nobody gives that album enough credit either, but the songs World Painted Blood and Hate Worldwide rival Raining Blood and Angel of Death in my book. Slayer's music got MUCH tighter as they got older (the coupling between the music and lyrics was particularly sloppy on Reign), and became 100% rock solid when they replaced Lombardo with Bostaph. Yeah, sacrilegious, I know. Call me what you will, the ear hears what it hears. They kept crushing it with no compromise until they finally achieved what all metal bands should reach for, laying down the hardest, heaviest song ever recorded with Warzone off of God Hates Us All. Everything else is gravy. Does anyone but ME ever talk about Warzone? Never heard anyone else ever even mention that CRUSHING, soul-murdering song.

100% Agreed. Diabolus In Musica is INCREDIBLE. Paul Bostaph is a way Better drummer than Dave Lombardo. Period.
