Currently doing a black flame build on my first convergence play through and black flame mortar literally trivializes any slow boss.

There's a similar, super long range spell in the volcanist class that also allows you to punish slow bosses but also any other boss because its surprisingly fast (also big emphasis on the long range, this thing nearly goes out of your render distance)

this mod is still in ALPHA and its like playing a new game entirely, i used the legendary necromancer blessing spell and crucible regeneration buff with my black flame build. basically: You reduce damage you deal by 75% but heal 50 hp per second with the right talisman, and 7 fp per second, making me a DOT mage, takes about 50 black flames to kill. I just love how this mod allows you to be actually a tank

I've always liked the lore implication that she regains the strength of destined death once she used the cursemark with her flames. I like the Matriarch for that reason.

One thing i found (if i remember right) is deicide has a special follow up if you use black blade after it (the spell version), try it when you get the chance

Underworld mage vid is coming in a couple days, but the fundamentalist will be a couple months away. Since I split my convergence runs into series, the fundamentalist, bestial, flame prophet, glint sorcerer and dragon cultist will be done together once this series is done, which also means they will be completed in the DLC.

How were you able to tell the stance damage from burrowing black flame? At around 12:25 you said it did 50 stance damage

An external application called 'ERTool', it allows you to see poise, status effect build ups, health and also has a bunch of other tools like save-stating, no-clip and a bunch of other stuff

Just a quick question Snup, why Don't you use the cerulean tear talisman from the enchanted remnant, it gives you extra FP regen help early game when FP is running short. Love the runs mate!

Cause my brain is locked in the mindset of 'more damage = more gooder' so I always get the combat remnant at the beginning for the ritual sword talisman and don't think about how in 5 minutes time I will be sitting in a boss fight doing nothing because my fp has run out

This is how black flame and destined death should have been in the base unmodded game when you think about how much it’s lore hypes it up compared to the not so great damage it dose in base game the only saving grace in base game is it’s overtime percentage based damage and even that seems to have been nefed if this was how base game was with it and it had its own ending like you said I honestly think it would be a lot more popular and talked about outside of its lore implications.

More destined death. Only 5 spells and 3 of them are buffs/deffus. The other two are literally just an explosive spark and the other one just reuses other things. i did not count black blade to this since its from vanilla

I know blackflame in convergence is holy damage, but does it stiil deal % based damaged on the lingering effect, or did they change it to a set amount?

It still does the percentage based damage but I think it only does 1% of an enemies health instead of 2%, but the incants make up for it by doing a lot of holy damage

Imbued sword keys are not needed to progress, there's several ways to get to every area in the game, if you need to get to farum azula, just go kill the Black Blade Kindred in Dragonbarrow, if you need to get to mohgwyn, go to consecrated snowfield and take the teleporter, just look around, you'll never get stuck since the progress is still fairly linear

i dis a lightning build for my first playthrough. the start was hard because i didnt want to grind but i was able to get into leyendel and get godwyns cragblades and just obliterated everyone (except the red lightning bitch of a boss) i thought that placy would stop me but the ash of war just destroyed him
