One of my biggest gripes in the base game is that madness is limited to PVP or NPC invasions. It's the sole reason I've never done a frenzy playthrough.

As well as it not being directly intended for bosses. "Massive area" implies it's a trash clearing incant. Cast in once or twice and have it clear out the entire courtyard of stormveil for example

Started a frenzied flame zealot run on Convergence a while ago. Made sure to use the madness immunity talisman, but then some file fuckery happened and I decided to do a clean ER reinstall and haven't decided if I'm going to play Convergence again or a different overhaul.

After the dlc came out it's so interesting watching this series back and seeing names/ images that ended up being in the dlc so the images for some of them were already in the files or from soft snagged these guys designs 😂

The two big aoe spells don't do tons of damage, but their range is absolutely fucking bonkers. Bad on bosses, great for exploration
