if you think they sound like crass or the fall you know nothing about crass or the fall..or sleaford mods..lazy comparisons are now forbidden
@ronanodowd83266 жыл бұрын
You're a muppet Inertia 27. You've been leaving the exact same 'lazy comparisons' comment across Sleaford Mods KZbin vids. There is a similarity with Crass AND The Fall. It's not a big deal. I'm looking forward to tonight's Sleaford Mods gig in Dublin though. 3rd time to see them.

Interviewer: Do you feel the same sort of spirit in Sleaford Mods as what you had with Crass and what you’re doing today? Steve Ignorant: Oh, definitely. I think what Jason and Andrew are doing is touching people who are in sort of shit jobs, and all of the stuff those people in shit jobs would like to say to the boss is what the Sleaford Mods are saying for them. It’s very strange, because I thought it’s only going to work in England, because of the subject matter, but it doesn’t, it’s global. It’s just sort of blown me away. badfeelingmag.com/2018/07/19/interview-crass-co-founder-steve-ignorant-on-aging-the-social-power-of-punk-and-his-final-show-with-paranoid-visions-at-77-montreal/

My mate from work told me to check them out for a laugh, this group are very strange. I don't understand the other guy he just stands there looking creepy after setting up the computer with the music on, then the singer (not sure if you can call it singing) shouts at the crowd. I'm not a kid I'm 34 and my video games have better music than this.

Nice playlist. With that immense back catalogue up to this song, with no real dip in quality it's a pleasure of discovery to create a SM playlist...They really are the'only band that matters' for these times and the only 'band' that actually speaks to me & my life. There are still some good hip hop artists out there, but S/M manage to mix punk with hip hop in a way that has produced the only music that's really grabbed me since around the turn of the century. Fuck Kasabian in their mansions, I put this on and it sounds like 'mine' like all good music did when I was a kid. And there's not one track |I've disliked that didn't eventually grow on me, often those are the best tunes... Love the direction Andrew is taking the music in, took me a while to realise how funky some of the new album is... Like a bottomless well of talent that keeps improving - & the fact that two geezers my age are making some of the hippest music around makes me buzz for them These are two guys who definitely earned their spurs... & refuse to compromise on ANYTHING, still put all the music out for free & play the cheap venues. There's the real punk & hip-hop ethos, DIY, real - life social commentary, & sounds that get the blood pumping... :-)
