Would definitely like to see a video on the Expert with the T-motion swap.

Would be interested to see a video (or article) on the retrofit of the regular T-motion to the 175”Summit Expert with X package.

Love my expert, adjustable limiter strap is spot on, thinner bars, billet brake reservoir, narrow stance I could go on.

Thanks Pat, I’ve been riding a X for about 5 years now and I’m ready for a new spring check. I’m +50 and focused on ringing in the POW, fun rides with as little effort as possible so I can ride multiple days. I was ordering a Expert non turbo (due tot he $4K adder) for $21K + tax but after watching your video I’m now thinking Summit X which I know and love and add the turbo for $22K + tax. Again I really like at X but was taking Expert because it’s top of the line, I’m liking the T motion and flex edge track because it’s likely easier for me to get on it’s side and easier to ride….not sure I want to give this up…. make sense?

Hi Dan! Now that so many of the features that made the Expert 'better' when it first came out are now also on the Summit X, it's really more a matter of handling preference and how much effort you want to put into it. For next year the '24 Summit X also has the adjustable brake lever, quick adjust limiter strap and lower riser coming over from the Expert, so like Dave says, one is not really 'better' than the other anymore. Sounds like the X is the ticket for you. And don't forget that you're going to experience a BIG handling improvement going from Gen4 to Gen5 also! More fun, less effort. As for the turbo decision! The power delivery is super smooth, so don't worry about it won't wearing you out. It's just like an 850, just more jam when you want it. If you can get a turbo Summit X for just $1K more than an na Expert, that would 100% be our recommendation for you and you'll have the time of your life next winter! Thanks for watching!

What year did the track change with the lugs going all the way to the edge?

"The deep snow Gen5 sleds use a lighter 3.0″ lugged track called PowderMax X-Light with FlexEdge. The new X-Light track features full-width outside lugs that now extend all the way to the edge of the track." sleddermag.com/2023-ski-doo-snowmobiles/

@@freddockins9470 you must not be a sledder! Cause in the mountains horsepower has everything to do with whether or not you have a fun day or not. Try going up the mountains with an 80 hp sled then get back to me. How do I know because I did it!!!

Is it me or has skidoo kinda lost the marketing on the freeride. Its marketed as the big impact big jumper, but put all the weak parts on it. T motion keeps ripping apart and the last time ripped my track in 2 all the way around.
@DaveNorona Жыл бұрын
was it locked out, there have been very few failures with t-motion x unless people have used an aftermarket lock out
@backcountryshitok Жыл бұрын
Of course it is, because skidoo should've had it locked out for everLoL

Maybe heres a better question, whats the out of the box sled for deep snow, only get out west for 5 days a year. 2.5 146 good suspension with a narrow a arms

Hey Dave Narona. I guess my comment aged well. Good shocks t motion delete. 15" track . Now I don't have to spend 3k over the price of my summit with freeride decals on it. Happy skidoo is still listening to the people

Interesting! Each there own but some would say the most reliable but all sleds can have issues. Hope what ever you ride you trust it and it gets you to RAD places!! Its what it is all about.
