I found this game recently and really like it, the only thing that seems a bit off to me is the skill system. Collecting random things or spamming abilities to level up seems a tiny bit annoying.

Generally, spamming isn't entirely NECESSARY, it just speeds the process up. Much like Elder Scrolls games, if you just use your abilities as you play through the game normally, you probably won't fall too far behind in levels. A lot of skills "capstone" abilities aren't SUPER powerful, so it isn't even necessary to get them to 100. Level 100 Appraise, for instance, is only required for specific gems and legendary artifacts (artifacts are never cursed, so you can ALWAYS equip them safely anyway). I just can't resist my lizard-brain's desire to make numbers go up lol. - Zach
