In this video I will be sharing both the scientific and metaphysical explanations of sleep paralysis and out of body experience, also referred to as O.B.E.
I will talk about which chemicals are released in the brain and body that enables a person to reach Sleep Paralysis. Also, the metaphysical theory that we are actually accessing an entirely different dimension when we are going out of body.
I will also give practical advice on how to induce sleep paralysis and have an out of body experience. I will also tell you how to snap yourself out of sleep paralysis in the most efficient way, for times when you're just not in the mood.
I will give the reason why people often experience shadow figures and evil spirits while in O.B.E. and sleep paralysis. And I will share my own experiences as someone who has been having waking sleep paralysis for half of my life. This includes my comically terrifying first sleep paralysis experience.

Yes, the vibrations can be terrifying. I used to think I was having a seizure or something. We aren't though, it's just our brain waves shifting into a stronger frequency.

A vibration does not mean your soul is leaving your body, Yes, you will feel a vibration and hear a rush like a train passing by. Typically then, the astral body forms. This is contingent on you not attaching to to sound of the vibration. Just let it happen. There is no soul, you are not getting up from your physical body, There is no Astral body. It is a frigging brain state and nothing more. It feels like you have another body,,, "Check out "phantom limb syndrome." When the brain does not get information from the body and you are alert, the brain will create the astral projection. It is a projection, a brain state, and nothing mystical or spiritual. If you are feeling the vibration you are nearly there. Stop freaking out and just let it happen.

IF I fall asleep on my back I nearly always wake in sleep paralysis. A six mile walk and a couple of mattress toppers works for me. If you want your body to fall asleep it needs to be tired. If I want to fall asleep I sleep on my side but I can fall asleep on my back if my body is tired enough. It's good to hear someone so obviously genuine and grounded talk about the subject.

I realize I'm replying to a seven year old comment, but I thought maybe something was wrong with me. I cannot sleep on my back for this very reason. I had no knowledge of obe or sleep paralysis until I experienced both for the first time on the same night. This was long ago but I remember it like it was yesterday. I remember thinking "hey, this is really comfortable, why do I never sleep on my back? I tried it again with similar results and I haven't tried it again in 20 years out of fear.

Thanks, Emerald. Couple things from my several decades: If the amorphous shadowy things bother you, simply do not panic and project pure love at them -- they come from a lower vibratory plane, perhaps your subconscious, and will immediately go away. Another technique is to will yourself to a higher plane, as they cannot follow. For beginners, try to memorize a five station path through your house, eg, a plant to a light switch to a painting. Then, will yourself to travel the same route when you leave your body -- it helps with control. To stay out longer, when you feel your session losing energy, imagine taking three breaths. This seems to reestablish the vibratory energy, even if you are in the point of consciousness form. All in my humble opinion. Metta.

As an OBE novice, I will try the 5 station path, and projecting love at the shadow figures. Thanks for your comment! Ever since I was a kid, the figures have always been what stop me from moving beyond the initial stages of SP and OBE.

Do not worry about how others perceive you. “Woo-Woo” is exactly what our reality is made up of. You seem intelligent for your young age and I realize this vid is from 8 years ago. A LOT has been brought to the surface and people are awakening. The more you speak freely about your experiences and bring awareness to others about their own the faster your channel will grow!!! I am having OBE once a week during sleep paralysis . Is it normal? I usually notice my sleeping position during OBE and when I wake up, I am on that same position. It is scary, man. I sometimes want to float outside the window while having OBE, but I couldn't move. I guess this spirit shit is real...

Experienced SP and Astral Projection/OBE for over 35 years. I can say your take on the SP being the gateway is spot on. I hear whirling air sound then I know it’s beginning. I float to ceiling and out of the house and into flying, if I set intention I can go anywhere, see anyone, do anything. Getting over the fear (I feel it) lifts me out what I’d call this dimension (very lower vibrational dimension) I had 1000s of OBEs and never once tried to experience this, it just happens when I feel the SP that’s when I set intention and focus on it in a relaxed way...

I used to be terrified and felt something would push on my chest or would want to come in through my window till recently i got a new gf who said i had a gift and told me to control the fear during this state. About a week after i fell in this state, i remember having the same fear and felt something was grabbing my arm from outsidemy window, my first reaction was the same as always which is trying to move and get up to get out of this state but right after i remembered what my gf said and i started to remain calm. All of a sudden the fear was gone and i felt nothing on me, so i tried getting out of my body without waking up but it wasnt working so i tried flipping over off my bed and when i did this i started floating upside down with no control and i couldnt really move around and then i woke up. Last night I finally managed to fly around but it was more like lucid dreaming because i dont recall laying in my bed stuck in sleep paralysis. But it was so awesome, i tried flying to the moon until i went to outer space and saw stars and galaxies eveywhere as the moon got bigger but before i got to it all of a sudden i was in my room and i thought i was awake. I started flying around the house yelling at my dad for him to see and it frustrated me that he ignored the fact that i was flying jaja. I am so happy because I know i can control this state more and more. My gf travels the world in this state and i would love to reach her level.

here i gonna tell the day i got my first "OBE" it was 12 desember 2012 3:00am my brother startled because i was screaming and call my father which is in next room and then he trying to wake me up and tell me about it after i wake up. okay i was so tired before sleep extreme activities and lot of work very hectic university stuff back then, that night i got separated from my body i can saw myself lying in bed and saw my brother in separate bed in same room then i can move freely and can penetrate walls i see the details of my room the painting in front of invisible wall in living room(i even draw this moment in my books of dream and random image). i saw black entities swarming around my room about 3 of them. i fly through the wall to street in front of my house, i travel to neighbor house a little about a minutes then back to my house saws my father and brother next to me and then poof i am back to my body. boom i am awake with alot of sweat and lose energy i barely move my arm i cant even speak, i saw my father crying looking at me. my father said i got long seizures and got no pulse and not breathing for 30sec. idk if its OBE or Near death. its my experience. btw i got recently seizures again (29-9-2019,31-10-2019 seizure to blackout) after long time no seizure(12-12-2012), seizure without blackout i am not mentionin in 2019 also ooccurred on October to november. i got MRI and doctors says i have DVA in my brain. till now i am still consuming therapy prescription. what do you think about my experience? am i OBE or Near death?

You can try to prop yourself up with a few pillows underneath your upper back. That way, less pressure is weighing on your chest. Also, avoid tensing up even if you feel that you can't breath as this will make you feel even more constricted. Relax into the paralysis and don't try to fight against it.

Great no BS video I also have had a number of OBE’s and Remote Viewing episode’s. Also I often have sleep paralysis in the early hours of the morning. Sometimes I can project but mostly I just fall back to sleep. A positive mind with control (mostly) of your fears is really important I think. I’m just a novice with lots to learn and experience.

Kimberly Lingo Thank you for the words of encouragement! It means a lot to me. :) For sleep paralysis, try to wake yourself up during the REM cycle, which is when you're dreaming and the body releases the Glycine and GABA. This happens roughly every 90 minutes give or take. Then stay really still. You'll be paralyzed and hear a very intense radio-fuzz-like sound. Just relax into it and try to get up from there. Happy travels!

🤍 hey, so happy to have found your channel. This means there are people out there who are experiencing similar things. Wanted to share with everyone my most recent (also my first) experience of what I think is an out of body experience. This literally just happened a few hours ago haha: All of this happened rather quickly and lasted only like 10 seconds though. It was an afternoon nap. I woke up and try to walk to the toilet. At the moment I felt like the waking up and the act of opening of my eyes was 10times harder than usual (feeling as if you’re very very sleepy )and each step was super heavy and hard to take like the gravity somehow intensified (underwater) Anyway I took 3 small lumpy steps towards the bathroom, looked back and very blurry I saw myself sleeping on the bed. I didn’t understand in the beginning. I thought to myself at the moment why do I feel this sleepy and drowsy ! i thought maybe because I was tired since I had woken up since 6am, but then I realized at that moment that nope this isn’t it-I was still laying on the bed. Right at the second I snapped back to being on the bed again, also unable to move again from sleep paralysis for about 5 secs, then finally I was able to get up. 😮 That’s pretty much it. Also, mine started with a mild sleep paralysis as well. I’ve always had sleep paralysis-for about5-6 years now. This is definitely a unique and eye-opening experience 😳 Love ur channel and stay safe guys x

I really like that you're completely honest about not knowing exactly what is happening. a lot of people try to explain to much and just kinda makes then sound full of Bs. I've been watching your channel due to a existential crisis, and you've given me so much to think about. I've always thought of sleep paralysis as being a part of my night terrors. I don't know if these things are real, but if that means I might be able to actually use it, then I'm all about that. I'm going to try this, but from what you've mentioned it sounds like I'll have some trouble at first, but here goes nothing, eh?

The medical community looks at it in the sense of being a nuisance. Like a problem with the sleep cycle. I guess it could be a problem if a person was too afraid to sleep. But I've always really enjoyed this phenomenon. Because even though it's uncomfortable, it's a very interesting experience that allows me to explore myself on a deeper level. When you get to that "being held down" feeling, you can try to roll, sit up, or project out of your body. It will feel really heavy at first, but the further you get up the easier it will be. A friend of mine gave the metaphor of getting out of the water. At first it's very heavy because the water is weighing you down. But the further you get out the less pressure there is. Happy travels! :)

Science can and will be to explain everything including the metaphysical. I like to tell people we are still in our infancy in mainstream science in terms of understanding consciousness and energy as well as qauntam physics. Noetic science blends the gap between those two.Excerpts from my page - if you take a look at quantum physics, you can realize that energy doesnt have to travel into time space to be accessible. We found that "matter" (according to string theory) is present everywhere and at all time. It is the observer who has the power (the control) to decide to materialise it or not. It's often refer to as the wave-particul duality. It's not magic... it's just that traditionnal physics only focuses at the atomic level, but in reality, the human consciousness has the ability to make changes on the quantum level and acces energy. "Conventional Western medicine does not recognize the existence of meridian or energy channels in the human body, because anatomy cannot prove it. With a special camera used in Kirlian photography developed in 1939, where no films or emulsion are required, pictures showing the “biological plasma body” can be taken with the flash of light between electrodes. Such a picture was taken by a group of scientists at the Kirov State University and showed many brightly lit areas throughout the body correlating well with the meridian/acupuncture points" soure - I FORGOT

That's a trick that I'm still trying to learn. I normally just snap myself out of the sleep paralysis state and try again at another time when I'm less spooked. But if you really want to try you can focus your attention toward the sensations in the body that relate back to fear. This can help you process through the emotions more quickly.

Thanks for your video, it helps me understand more. I began to have paralysis of the dream after receiving a beating, quite strong in a crazy party night. Each time i felt that they were coming to attack me and I could not move. Slowly i began to relax and to feel love (advice of a wise friend) by these ugly creatures that attacked to me, in some occasions, I woke up with the sensation of reconciled with some personal aspect. They usually occur before falling asleep on my back. There was an occasion that I felt a presence that took my heart, I was very afraid I hugged her and I said it was part of me. I woke up feeling very happy. And after that time, the dream paralysis that I have, never been so aggressive again. Carlos Castaneda (antropologist) say after a violent accident you can begin to have this kind of experiences. Thanks Again!

To me , OBE (etheric projection ) is real because I verified it going to other place while projecting and noticing objects and their specific location that I couldn't have prior knowledge of and confirm it by actually going to the place physically and seeing the same objects and their respective location ...As you said 95% is the same as physical ....I am not quite sure about the percentage but I understand that etheric world is an overlap between physical and astral plane so reality from both realms of existence ...(etheric realm is some kind of live mirror image of the physical realm if you will ; mixed with elements of low astral realm)...In the shamanic tradition the etheric realm is referred as the middle world , the low astral realm is the underworld and high astral realm is the upper world...

very clear and good explanation unlike all the other people that talk about astral projection. as i understand from your explanation, during astral projection we are tuned to our self higher dimensions, we intact with other sides of the consciousness which we cant connect otherwise. as i understand, the "outta body experience" isnt actually real, its just a subjective experience. and unfortunately as i suspected theres no "soul" and after dying theres no heaven or after-life. just maggots and infinite ending

One time while paralyzed I was on my back, moving my eyes around to look at the familiar sights of my bedroom, for example the wallpaper, ceiling, furniture. Then something woke me up, and I was face-down on the pillow. On a few occasions I was paralyzed away from my bed, like on a deserted highway where I could see a truck approaching in the distance but couldn't move. Once I was swinging on a swing, but couldn't stop actively swinging. I lump these together because of the continuity of details in these experiences. Normal dreams will often pivot on a dime, and you don't question the impossibilities, you just go with the flow. But in paralyzed dreams the perceived environment stays constant. Well, just another person's variations presented here, probably.

I had astral projected one time and it took like 3-4 nights of trying to do it. It took high amounts of focus and determination. What i did was relaxed my body through meditative breathing and on every exhale i imagined my body relaxing deeper. This in the end numbed my body completely. And i felt like i was in this shell. And further and further i relaxed through this breathing. I kept feeling fear when i was on the verge of slipping out of my conciousness. I think that i was at the brink of seperating. But when the last attempt happened i felt a vibration above my chest. It was myself spinning in this atom like pattern to the velocity of the vibration. It got higher and higher pitches. And i felt it stronger as it went on. I then shot out of my body going toward the ceiling in the room i was laying. It seemed to have a darkish/ blueish haze over everything. I turned back in astonishment, took a look at my body, i was fearful and snapped awake after speeding back into my body.

So to make sure that I understand you, you believe based on your own experience that when you astral project, it is a different experience to when you dream? Sometimes, astral projection sounds like a lucid dream where you think you left your body, but a lot of people believe you actually leave the physical body when you project. Idk what I believe, but I sure hope it’s actually leaving the body because that would be so cool!
@TheDiamondNet
@TheDiamondNet 6 жыл бұрын
Astral projection feels very different from lucid dreaming. In AP, you actually get up from the bed you fell asleep in and walk around in reality which is very consistent and the same or similar to the reality you fell asleep in. All of my APs start the same way: waking up in my bed that I fell asleep in with vibration and a high pitched buzzing noise. If I can get up and achieve AP it starts in the spot that I fell asleep in, then I walk through my house, out into my street, etc. If I fail to get up out of my body and snap myself out of sleep paralysis, then I'm still in the same reality that I was in when I had SP and the same reality that I would have gotten up into had I achieved AP. If I'm lucky and achieve sustained AP, I can leave the premises of my immediate surroundings. With lucid dreaming, it always starts within a dream and dream logic and inconsistencies are the norm. And things are in flux, like times on clocks are not the same and people and places change without notice. In Astral projection, the clocks read the same time and reality remains consistent with little to no variation from the experience of waking reality. Also, there have been plenty of times where I have mistakenly thought that I was awake when I was really having an out of body experience because waking reality and AP is so similar.

Hey I have another question. I don't know if you know what I'm talking about but I often have these dreams that are really beautiful and are alt. version of reality. It can be as simple as being in my house but something is different about my house. There is some vibe to these dreams that make me really want to return to them after waking. Do you think that it Is there a way to replicate these feelings of peace in reality? This has wondered me for years. Like why are dreams better than reality? Is there a lack of ego or something while dreaming? Thanks again!
@TheDiamondNet
@TheDiamondNet 8 жыл бұрын
+Vincent Musanti I'm not super well-versed about dream states in this way, but it sounds like the theory that there is an astral realm. This is basically the higher vibrational reality that you can enter when going out of body or in dreams, which some metaphysical theories state that dream reality and OBE reality are similar in that way. So, if you have a deep feeling of peace then it could be ego-lessness or being in a higher vibration if you entertain the notion that there are different dimensions that correspond to vibrational level. I don't know a lot about this though, so my recommendation would be to look up videos on astral travel and astral projection in dreams, instead of using search words like OBE, dreams, or sleep paralysis which tend to be more geared toward scientific or practical definitions of the experience.

I looked into this after experiencing sleep paralysis accompanied by auditory hallucinations (usually loud “clangs” or what sounds like cymbal crashes) and the overwhelming, terrifying sense of evil or demonic presence in the room; and occasionally feeling of levitating. The scientific name for this phenomena is hypnogogia (hypnogogic hallucinations during the onset of sleep and hypnopopia (hypnopopic hallucinations) during onset of waking.

While I was watching this i actually remembered something from my life that was very much like sleep paralysis, it probably was. So I was very young, about maybe 6 or 7 years old. And I was in my room, nothing out of the ordinary... But then these very... Dark figures begin the form and earth me. As a kid I was terrified and started freaking out, sweating, and then I was RUNNING AROUND THE HOUSE TRYING TO AVOID THEM! I was very scared. But then, I snapped back. And I was stiff, I couldn't move at all. But then I started to move. I woke up my parents about what happened. Me and my dad talked about it, But I lied to him, I said I just had a nightmare and I described a game nightmare to him. He walked me back to my room, and I fell asleep, not having that again... I didn't have an OBE after that though, so close ;-;.

Whenever I am experiencing SP while laying on my back if I try really hard to roll over eventually I’ll hear the sound of a door slamming shut just as I pop out of my body. Sometimes it’s really hard to walk. If I jump up and let my self go I’ll instantly retract back into my body and wake up. I think people like to think they can clearly come up with an explanation but let’s face it. We don’t know everything. In my opinion it feels like a spiritual experience

Got a question. When you get into sleep paralysis to get out of body do you need to bee on your back for that or can you get out of body when yo are getting rest on on your side. The other thing is I have heard that some people when they get into the vibration state they will speed up and slow down the vibration. I actually have done this to see if I am going to get out of my body and actually by trying to speed up the vibe Eaton I feel like i am just beeing sucked back in and I hit a wall basically. It seems like the best way is just to ride the vibrations is this correct???

Hi Emerald, I can't believe it's five years since I commented here last, and the reason I find myself back again is because I have been getting a lot of SP lately, but also now I'm getting entities and visual and aural hallucinations, ie things have changed. Although I have had Sp like you, thousands of times, I've never had these apparitions before, just the SP and a sometimes a kind of floating eperience and some buzzing in my ears, you know the type of thing. I've never had a full blown OBE but I KNOW it's going to happen. If you are seeing your home surroundings, and in some detail just as though you are awake, do you think your visualization skiils are good enough to recreate that from your memory. Maybe so if you are a fine artist, but more likely you are hallucinating them in the same way we hallucinate our objective reality, which is from an external non-subective data stream. I think you're using your eyes just as you would in waking reality, and I think you are interpreting the same data but in a higher frequency dimension. It's like going up octaves on a musical instrument. I see you have a link know and I think now maybe a good time to reach out. regards

It sounds like we are so similar!! I had my first experience at 13 as well and up until 2 years ago it only happened on occasion. Then about two years ago I started getting them a lot but ONLY when I fell asleep on my back and they scared me so much that I would try to never fall asleep on my back. Lately I have been having them regardless of how I fall asleep and it happens almost every night. A few months ago I started leaving my body. I don't go that far and the furthest I have eve went is out my room and about half way down the steps. I can even feel physical things like door knobs and my dresser because I am trying to figure out if I am actually awake or not. Sometimes I will go back into my body and think that I am awake only to leave it again and I have conscious thought like "there is no way that I am actually asleep in my bed right now" or I'm going to call my husband who works at night" then on my way to the phone I snap back into my body. Thanks you, I knew there was a connection from my own experiences but this video just confirmed it!! I want to experiment with it so bad but fear always takes over. I should have NEVER watched the HBO special on sleep paralysis, big mistake! Lol but my question for you is do you see the silver or blue cord behind you while having an one? I am going to try to look for it next time. I float around a lot and often find myself thinking or hoping that I will fall off of my bed or hit the floor. I also have the resistance sometimes that you talk about. This video hit home for me so much! I am not crazy and this just confirmed everything that I have been telling my husband lately. I knew I was leaving my body, I just knew it!!

I'm glad that the video was helpful for you. You're definitely having OBEs. They feel as real as waking life to where it is still difficult for me to tell the difference. You can be a lot more autonomous with it if you learn to consciously disconnect from your body. Then you can have an intention for where you want to go. If you're confident enough, you will end up somewhere else where you don't have to worry as much about accidentally snapping back into the body. But I've never seen the silver and blue cord that everyone talks about. Because there are some elements of OBE that differ slightly from waking life and are sensitive to expectation, I would imagine that it is kind of like a symbolic representation of connection to the body. This is something I'm not sure of though. What I find is that I have a very hard time looking back at myself sleeping. It's like my "astral eyes" just don't want to see it.

I had sleep paralysis. The way you described it is spot on, particularly the screaming. I had a roomate telling me I was sleep talking the next day after I had sleep paralysis. I had the worst experience ever: I had 2 sleep paralysis in a row. Like a dream in a dream. I dreamed I woke up and could not move and saw a black shadow and tried to scream exactly as you explained; I woke up but I was still dreaming and I could not move and again the black shadow was there. Then I woke up for real. Did not know about sleep paralysis at this time. That was scary, thought I was possessed. I didn't have obe. I understand the science behind sleep paralysis; but how can we explain obe experiences where people can see what other people are doing? They can even read numbers and tell what somebody did last night. That cannot be an hallucination?
@TheDiamondNet
@TheDiamondNet 8 жыл бұрын
Sleep paralysis and OBE used to be very uncomfortable for me too, before I learned that it was a physiological phenomenon. For many years, I only entertained the scientific explanation of OBE because it made me feel more sane when talking about it and it was comforting during the experience. In recent years, however, I recognize how little can be known about any plane of reality including the one we're experiencing during waking life. There is no way to verify or falsify the existence or non-existence of the astral realm. That said, some sources have debunked the notion that the same things are seen in the astral realm. But other people claim to see similar things. I have never personally tried to verify the similarity... but the similarity is always evident. The environment always matches in an uncanny way, to the point where I've unconsciously gone out of body and not realized that it was an OBE. So, I try to keep an open mind as to the existence of the astral plane. Thanks for watching! :)

My advice is to time your OBE for your 3rd or 4th REM cycle of the night. Roughly 270 or 360 minutes into the 8 hour sleep cycle. This way, you've gone through a couple of intervals of your sleep cycle and have gotten enough rest to be autonomous and alert in your OBEs. So, wake yourself up during the REM cycle, then remain very still on your back until sleep paralysis onsets.

hi... i had a similar experience last night in the sense that i felt i was awake but suddenly the sleep paralysis came to me i got scared... its not the first time its happened to me obviously but it is the first that i recall feeling awake before it happens. what i mean is that i remember the paralysis starting and thats why i got scared because the only way i could describe it at the time was me trying to be possessed by something... anyways my question is regarding the area were i felt it. it wasn't in my upper body, it was from mi hip down including my right hand only. is that normal? i felt like gravity was pushing me but like i said only half of my body felt it the rest was simply paralised it lasted for about 30 to 45 seconds i was pushing my body to move so that it would wake up... anyways lately I've become aware of my unconscious behaviors and I've changed mi diet i started exercising etc.... and i believe it all must be connected... astral projections is my future im sure i just want to know how to avoid engaging with negativity because that has been present in my life for years... depression, too much marihuana smoking to deal with it in time made me feel like a living dead.... i guess i was apathy all thanks to negativity. how do i stop invoking that negative????

Thanks for the book recommendation. I have a ton of issues with getting over-excited too. I find that the more confidence that I have when disconnecting the better that I can get to someplace. In one of my most autonomous OBEs, I got up with sleep paralysis. Projected myself across the room. Went to the living room with the intention of going to Paris. I jumped inside of my front door and everything turned gray, and shortly thereafter, out of the gray came a pedestrian walkway (probably not Paris, but somewhere) . Then I was able to do what I wanted without worrying about snapping myself out of it.

@TheDiamondNet
@TheDiamondNet 5 жыл бұрын
Science is a very useful lens that human beings look through. But it is just one lens out of many. And lenses are always just lenses and never the reality itself. And we, as human beings, can never truly know anything of an existential nature for sure, no matter how sophisticated our practice of the scientific method becomes. There will always be things that we don't know. And one of those things is the nature of this existence. So, whether you explain existence through the lens of theology and say that God created everything, or if you explain existence through the Big Bang Theory and say that created everything... it still leaves many questions unanswered. Namely, if God created everything then where did God come from? And if the Big Bang created everything, where did the Big Bang come from? So, you see, science doesn't explain anything on the existential level because the scientific lens is more about the question of "How?" than about the queston of "What?" or "Why?" So, science can explain HOW things work but can't explain WHAT existence is and WHY it's here. And I find OBE to be in alignment with the question of "What?" more than anything if we consider the possibility that we are interacting with some other facet of reality. Ultimately, being sure of any perspective and feeling that sense confidence that you describe is just believing in the illusion of knowing... and at the end of the day that's pure blind faith. To take the analogy of the movie "The Matrix."... the scientists of the Matrix are still functioning within the Matrix. They believe without any actual definitive proof that the Matrix is real because it feels real and it's all they know. And so they assume that the things they're empirically observing are also real because they have the apriori assumption that their reality is real. But in the movie, as the viewer, we know it isn't. So, we know that it's both understandable but foolish of those living in the Matrix to believe that the scientists can derive absolute truth from observing the phenomena that occurs within the Matrix. It is equivalent to the blind faith practiced in the most woo woo of circles. So, the confidence is more comfortable because you have to question the realness of your reality, but it's actually a sign that you've been swept up in blind belief. And any belief (no matter how rigorously peer reviewed and proven) falls into the category of blind belief, since we can never truly know the nature of this existence. So, it's best to set aside belief in regard to matters of existential questioning, and just take things for how they are. Don't believe it's an alternate universe. But also don't believe that it's "Just in your head." To entertain either notion is to entertain the illusion of knowing. And to reject either notion is to entertain the illusion of knowing. The only sweet spot is to ground one's self in curiosity and detached open-mindedness. And then we can actually properly contemplate on the nature of what all this is.

I used to have terrible sleep paralysis while I lived in my abusive home. It was awful. I'd awake and be paralyzed and feel like a weight was on my chest and as if I was being choked. I'd try to inhale from my nostrils and I couldn't. My jaw would be clenched and all I could move was my eyes. I've seen a huge gargoyle demon and a dead baby. Both experiences scared me so terribly it made my nightmares worse and increased insomnia. I have memory loss from trauma so I'm not sure if I had an out of body experience but I have had extreme sleep paralysis to where it felt like I was about to die. I would get so afraid I felt like I was burning hot and then I'd go freezing cold, my heart would pound so hard I felt like it would explode. The odd thing was I couldn't breathe and I couldn't even speak and I was locked in my body in a sleep state but my mind was conscious. It took me forever to break from the body lock and while I was frozen I just had to lay there and feel and see demons looking at me until my body woke up to match my awake mind.

xxmanthatyoufearxx x Sleep Paralysis and OBE can also be a way to cope and disassociate with the emotions and the body. So, it makes sense that you lined up with that kind of experience.

how do you know when it's the right time to try and get out of your body?
@TheDiamondNet
@TheDiamondNet 8 жыл бұрын
Your body will be paralyzed and you will hear a high pitched buzzing sound that sounds a bit like radio fuzz and a bit like a flying saucer in a 1960's scifi movie. You'll notice that you have control over the speed of this sound. So, speed it up and slow it down intuitively. You'll notice a point where this frequency stabilizes (sort of like when you're tuning a guitar and the strings are making the same exact sound... coming into resonance), and it will be easier to leave the body.

How do we scientifically explain the vibrational state? What do you think is going on when that happens? I have experienced it several times recenlty and have never in my 42 years of life ever experienced anything like it, I have had many lucid dreams but this felt different. I had always considered astral projection the same thing as a lucid dream, but now I really am not sure science can explain this...

Experientially, lucid dreaming and astral projection are incredibly different. Lucid dreaming still feels like a dream while astral projection feels very real. The vibrational state happens when the body reaches sleep paralysis. This happens 4 to 5 times every nights when your body releases the chemicals Glycene and GABA during the REM cycle of sleep to keep your body from acting out your dreams. It's a safety measure to prevent sleep walking. However, when the mind is still awake and alert when the body reaches sleep paralysis, this is the experience that we refer to as sleep paralysis. This happens when we're awake and these chemicals are active in the body. Our brain waves are also of a different nature during this state. Now, this is next part is my theory on why we hear the vibrations, so take it with a grain of salt. But it makes sense to me as to why we hear and feel the vibrations. Normally, in waking life we have beta brain waves where the frequencies are very fast... making them high pitched and difficult to hear. Just like a dog whistle is too high pitched (fast frequency) for us to hear or feel. But when we're in sleep paralysis during the REM cycle, we have mixed brain waves: alpha, beta, and desynchronous waves. These are slower brain waves... so the vibration is slower and thus deeper. So, we can sense it more because it's more within our audible range. This also makes me believe that brain waves are a full-body phenomenon and not just a head-based phenomenon, since the vibrations can be felt throughout the body. Now, I'm not sure if the experience of astral projection corresponds to a real reality. I don't think it can be verified or falsified in either direction. But neither can our experience of waking reality be verified or falsified as real. You can never quite prove that reality is real. You just have to kind of say "Eh... it feels real, so I'm going to treat it like it's real." So, that's how I treat my projections. They feel real, so I treat them that way. But I also don't take them too seriously. I do enjoy them immensely though.

OK I got sleep paralysis and I did hear the buzzing sound. I was somehow able to open my eyes but I still could not move body. Although I didn't see any shadowy hallucination, I did got horrified because of the buzzing sound that I heard until I was finally able to move my body!

If you can resist the overwhelming urge to fight to move you're body and relax till the vibes subside or even out, then your energy body has probably separated from your physical body and your ready to exit. Sleep paralysis is a real pain in the ass but if you want induce an OBE it becomes a gift.

I have two other videos on my channel that could be relevant to you. One is about how to induce sleep paralysis and the other is about how to get out of body. I recommend both, but the latter will probably give you the information you're looking for. It's called "How to Have and OBE".

Rosangela Sena I know it’s horrible and personally i can cope with it, i shut my eyes and start entertaining myself as i always knew what it was. i normally have it when someone disturbs my REM circle, for instance i get kicked by a friend if i have a sleepover or my cat jumps on my bed. If i was you i would just shut my eyes, if you can’t do that in your SP get a blind fold as then you can’t see and you will know you’re having a sleep p

Astral projecting is okay as long as you stay positive. If you think it's going to be scary, that's how it's going to be. It's all affected by your emotions.
