I personally enjoy not knowing too much about who they are, it makes it easier to apply the songs to my own experiences. The masks are a neutral for me, artists have been creating personas since forever, look back at KISS and Alice Cooper. Love the wild genre shifts, and anyone who can make an 8 minute song work in the TikTok era deserves respect.

Since I learned about Sleep Token and got into them, I have absolutely zero desire to know who they are. I know you can google their identities and dig if you really want to but I've never had the urge to know. In fact, I don't *want* to know. I actively avoid anything that might show their faces or display their names. I'm inclined to agree that who they are isn't really important.

i wish i wasn't so noisy tho. i didn't know that they wanted to be totally anoymous as it was possible that they had those personas and masks ONLY on stage. so i didn't know they hid their faces all the time in public. i just wanted to know more about the band and discovered who Vessel is and after learning they wanted to keep their anonimity i just stopped researching anything. stayed for the music

i’m pretty new to sleep token and TMBTE is my first time really getting invested into sleep token after listening to Tomb partially. My own theory based off my own interpretation of lyrics is that TMBTE is an album about lost love, and lost happiness. ‘Eden’ represents a time where Vessel was happy and whole which is why a lot of elements of the title track deal with emotions and sadness, ultimately erupting into heavy screaming to show the pain of wanting to go back to when he was happy and whole. I feel like this album is actually about love and how it has a chokehold on you at times, and once it’s gone you do anything to get it back.not sure if this makes sense but just by listening to the album it works for me haha

I feel DYWTYLM is the actual sleep deity to whom vessel sings the songs too talking back to him. All three of the albums sleep token has done is almost like a back and forth between vessel and sleep and the battle of love and hate they feel towards each other and the journey they took with each other. That’s why Euclid was placed at the end of the album. It puts a beautiful take on the story line and the end of the story between sleep and vessel

I personally felt that DYWTYLM was an inner monologue of vessel speaking to himself, seeing if he can love himself after everything that Sleep has made him feel. But I like this too.

It’s a triptych!! 3 albums, each song in these 3 albums play a scene. As a whole it’s a masterpiece about a power struggle between vessel and sleep! If you listen to to the 3 hours you can hear the whole story 🥰 It could be interpreted as a drug addiction, or a highly abusive relationship. It’s so beautiful

IMO the whole story throughout the trilogy of albums can be interpreted as vessels past struggles with a toxic relationship, referring to her as a "god", the way he used to see her, seeking validation and not understanding the way he was being "loved" was one sided. The back and forth between Vessel falling in and out of trying to fight back against Sleep. Personally its not until mid way through TMBTE he finally gets the courage to fully overwhelm Sleep, specifically in the song Ascensionism. Euclid is a perfect ending of closure for the whole ordeal and with the call-back to the first album really puts the nail in the coffin of the story

Unpacking the deity - Sleep Hypnos is usually the fatherless son of Nyx ("The Night"), although sometimes Nyx's consort Erebus ("The Darkness") is named as his father. His twin brother is Thanatos ("Death"). Both siblings live in the underworld (Hades). According to rumors, Hypnos lived in a big cave, which the river Lethe ("Forgetfulness") comes from and where night and day meet. No light and no sound would ever enter his grotto. According to Homer, he lives on the island Lemnos, which later on has been claimed to be his very own dream island. He is said to be a calm and gentle god, as he helps humans in need and, due to their sleep, owns half of their lives. This ties in with the first song “the night does not belong to God.” The three albums tell of this unfurling story of help, but also, the ownership of half of vessel’s life.

Eden is his old band, Blacklit Canopies. He wants to go back to that project, and the woman he did that with (his ex girlfriend). She is likely Sleep. Vessel is the Vessel of his Heartbreak over her and his old band falling apart likely due to their split. She was the God that birthed this music through his pain, and he is the vessel that performs it.

DYWTYLM fits right into this album. This whole album is based on pop, metal, and r&b and this track is all pop but the lyrics themselves is asking a question that leaves people to think if Vessel is asking this to Sleep, Sleep asking Vessel, or is Vessel asking this question to himself? That fits this whole album perfectly. BTW if anyone has the absolute answer for this scenario then please reply which case it may be.

I think looking at Vore, I think Sleep may have made him/ manipulated him to thinking he wanted to be 'swallowed whole', as a way to torment and taunt him regarding his impending doom or fate that she has planned for him. just an idea. i also have heard theories that Sugar from the sundowning album was 'sung' by Sleep through Vessel. its very provocative, and ig vessel was more of a male house wife to Sleep at the time, still adjusting to her presence, and still quite sad that he was under her possession, we hear that in blood sport (also in some of the speeches he's made before blood sport where he beleives he is now nothing without the mask).

I think that’s the most generally accepted theory about that song. By that point in the story he’s completely overtaken by Sleep’s influence and he knows it. He hates himself for letting it go so far. At least, in this particular canon
