Not only that but I think he genuinely tears up a lot in his performances. It might be part of why he chose the masked band route. He is actually so emotionally affected by it that most of the crying sounds probably aren’t performance. I don’t blame him. I cry half the time I hear certain parts of their songs lol

Sometimes he sounds so...grounded, yet emotional. Like the way sounds are in a cave. Big and deep like a cello, but a lovely emotional echoing distortion. Sometimes as the soft whisper of a breeze moving through the cave, other times is the big echo that surrounds you and only seems to get bigger.

I wasn’t at this show but I experienced it all via KZbin uploads. If there was one show I would’ve sacrificed a limb for it would’ve been this one. The audible crowd gasp when the crowd realized what song it was is such a compliment to vessel’s approach to his set list.

As a fan of Leonard Cohen's version of Hallelujah, hearing Vessel cover it really brings a wondferful weight and somberness to it that I love. I'm a die hard ST fan, and I think Vessel's voice is one of the most melodic, beautiful voices in the industry. He so beautifully carries Cohen's disparaged, yet almost hopeful tone to this song... which was unique to Cohen up until now. I love this version and I really dearly hope we get a clear audio version of it!
