I think you're spot on with the last line(s). The first time i heard it, i did indeed assume "him" was the "other guy" that took her away from V. Lately i did come around to believe "him" is the man V was when either they were together, or possibly immediately after their relationship and his emotional wounds (that may have lead to some self inflicted physical wounds) were their most fresh. Fantastic work on this album. I'm only sorry im 8 months late to the party

@@BreakingBeard-yv2qt I'm sure others like myself will stumble on it who are kinda over reactions where the creator just makes exacerbated faces for 10 minutes. That's junk food. What you've done here - providing genuine insight - will have staying power. With their next release, do you plan on doing blind reactions or stick to this format? I can only speak for myself, but I think those of us who have connected with your content would be thrilled to watch both experiences

nce again thanks for taking the time sharing your ideas and thoughts. I just wonder if you have any ideas about the sea creatures that are attached to each song. On TMBTE the "monsters" help to explain the song and give them mening, and I think its the same here, just havent figurit out yet🤔

I don't remember if I specifically covered it in these videos, but my main theory for the inclusion of the sea creatures is that Vessel is trying to depict a "whalefall" (a lot of the merch shows a whale/whale skeleton). When a whale dies, it creates a new ecosystem on the sea floor that feeds on its body. I think this could either represent Sleep eating away at him (kind of like the Vore metaphor), or a hopeful metaphor that even though Vessel feels dead in this moment, there is still a chance for new life to spring forth in the future. But it's all open for interpretation, that's just my two cents!
