I searched all throughout KZbin for sleep meditations. Some of the others are from people with PhDs reading clinically tested scripts, or from master Buddhist meditation instructors. But your guided sleep meditations are the best! A perfect mix of ambient noise, body scanning, and guided imagery, told by a voice with rhythm and cadence that is totally calming. We are lucky that you make these. Thank you!

I hope you awake tomorrow having released any stress or anxiety that was lingering, because you don't have to carry it with you. Dr. Roberts, this was magical! It relaxed me into wonderland! If I may ask: why does this audio work so effectively to relax us? What is happening to us biologically as we hear this recording and as we relax because of it? Cheers!

By mentally immersing yourself in a positive and peaceful scenario, you're essentially "taking a break" from stress. This triggers a relaxation response in your body, which leads to physical changes such as reduced breath rate and heart rate. When you direct your thoughts towards positive and calming images, you activate a relaxation response that helps reduce tension. This combination of factors hopefully creates a soothing and calming experience to lead you to fall asleep. 🌟🧘♂️
