DEPENDING ON THE DELAY REASON - IF IT WAS AN ACCIDENT, THEN IT QUALIFIES AS ADVERSE AND YOU CAN CONTINUE TO DRIVE UP TO 2 HOURS PAST YOUR NORMAL 11 AND 14, AS LONG AS YOU COULD OF MADE IT THERE WITHIN THE 11/14 MINUS THE ACCIDENT. OTHER THAN THAT I WOULD REALLY NEED MORE INFO TO GIVE AN ANSWER

That guy was dumb to leave 5 minutes before 10 hours lmao. I tried doing a 7 hour sleeper and it didn't give me any time to drive even tapping the box. I drove several hours and took 30 minute break. Then drove 30 minutes and parked for 3 hours also sleeper. Violations were never removed. But from everything I read I was legal. Any comments?

Been driving all my shifts with full 11 driving and 10 of sleeper. I want to do the split with the 8 hour sleep and continue driving with the split version, completed the 8 hours on split, but when I tap the show split hours it’s only giving me 2 min to drive. Can you please explain to me why this is happening?

It is difficult without seeing log. But either one of two things has happened. You did not have any hours available when you went into the sleeper and no break of at least 2 hours prior to going into sleeper. Or the sleeper period was broken for some reason

Today i forgot to put my log book in personal conveyance and drove 6 minutes and this violation showed up. I was on off duty prior to this for 3hours 49 minutes. Now should i put my book into sleeper for 8 hours or 7 hours and then an off duty for 2 hours? Please help me out.

2 things. 1. You could just complete the 10 ignoring the 6 minutes, and ignoring the red, as even if you are working a brief interruption does not affect the 10 per the FMCSA 2. If you do not want to see red, you would only need 7 solid in sleeper and you would get hour back, but woul have to take another 3 after

If you go through a scalehouse while it's showing that violation you will get a violation ticket. It doesn't matter that you're not actually in the violation all that matters is the ELD will be showing you're in a violation if you can't get a DOT officer that does not feel like looking at the log and doing a little bit of mit's a little math because she's in a bad mood you will get the ticket and the ticket is regal because the ELD is showing you are in a current violation plus they could shut you down for 10 hours ( other than this issue I have to admit it's best eld I've used but this is a bigger problem than the software techs understand... trucks aren't just part of logistics . they're rolling atm's )

Incorrect. Inspectors are to assume you will complete the split. Inspectors also never see the colors or violations, as long as you enter dot Inspection mode. In the case a violation was issued, it would be immediately removed via DataQ. I have dealt with over 1000 inspections, and have only seen 1 time where a violation was issued in error, and that was even though no violation showed on ELD. I was able to get it removed very easily

As long as it is truly Personal conveyance, it would be considered off duty, and that qualifies. However be very careful as personal conveyance is the top reason for falsification violations

Once I made it back to the shipper I hit the regular off duty tab but I didn't know it would restart my off duty clock. I also didn't think it would be legal to sit in the dock on off duty personal conveyance to complete my 3 hour break.

@@johnmiller3970 Few things - 1. the time listed below the status does not have an affect on the short break as it is a cumulative time. So once you have completed the 2-3 hour break you will see the time come available. 2. It is not recommended to use off duty at a shipper or receiver. "all time in or on the vehicle is considered on-duty, except time spent resting in the sleeper". I would definitely recommend using the sleeper at shipper or receiver

If you are using an ELD then you can only make edits to non drive line events. If it is on the drive line, you may only notate if there was an error

I've never used keep trucking as a driver and I'm just curious to know the difference between primary and Secondary clocks?? I also applied with a trucking company and the owner told me that he can edit or add hours to my elogs so I can drive 700 to 850 miles per day 😅 and when I asked him how can he do that he didn't give me an answer and I the whole conversion with this guy freaked me out and my question to u is how can any company edit or add driving hours to driver's logs if they are about to run out??

A COMPANY CANNOT LEGALLY EDIT DRIVING HOURS EVER!!! I would not recommend working for anyone that admits they break the law right off the bat. If you are working for the right company you should be able to make a good living without putting yourself or anyone else at risk.

I ain't making this up and can show the text messages

I have a current option. My load just got loaded 20 min earlier, my hours are finish to drive or shift, but split click shows 2.34 min and I need to go to pilot which is about 31 miles 22 min can I drive without violation ? If I press split and than drive

Yes that is correct you just have to make sure you go into the sleeper four eight solid hours or if you are out of hours at a shipper or receiver you may use personal conveyance go to the nearest reasonable resting location

What happens when my 14 hr shift is over and i went on a off duty but I accidentally re parked without use PC it took me on a violation because it took me 39 seconds to re park now it saying exceeded 14 hr shift limit can I do anything with it or it will stay violation for 2 weeks?

Parking would not be considered driving, it would be an on duty activity, and you can only get violations for driving. So even though the eld shows red as long as is it clear in the remarks you are fine

it is legal but in violation until split is completed. If you do not complete split then it is a violation. Officers are instructed to assume the split will be completed during a stop

The word "violation" stays up as a reminder to not screw up. The software has no way of knowing the future, if you'll actually finish the split. When it says Violation you are technically in violation and your only escape is to finish the split and it will go away. Or of course, do a full 10 and reset both clocks. It could be helpful to notate on your log at the first part of your split that you are intending to use the split sleeper provision, just in case you get pulled over and inspected

in order to use the split option to replace your 10 hour break, one period must be at least 2 hours off duty/sleeper, the other at least 7 consecutive in the sleeper only. Both periods combined must amount to at least 10 hours

I was in Sleeper birth for 9 hrs 98 mins I didn't noticed I wasn't logged in to my truck I HAD TO MOVE a lil AND WHEN I STOPED I I logged back in once I noticed and signed back in it was in driving and messed everything up I have no hrs no to drive

Quick scenario so if I have 3 hours driving then 5 hours on the sleeper then drive for another 5 hours if I go into the sleeper for another 5 hours that would be considered a 10 hours reset and give me back my 11 hours driving?
