I drive an 03 350z, the base model with the DE, no LSD, etc. I picked mine up for relatively cheap, 7k with 70k miles on it and the only thing I've done to it so far was upgrade to a quaif differential. I've got a way to go with the car, and every time I get negative comments about it being slow, heavy, etc, but honestly as long as you are smiling when you are driving the car, who cares. the first day I bought the car I got beat by a modded civic on the highway and I just laughed, it was fun. it's all just fun, so enjoy it. Right now I am saving up for a nice set of wheels, tires, and exhaust. after I get more used to the car and feel the need for more power I will begin to look into building the block and forced induction. right now I'm in college, so hopefully after I graduate I can make it into the beast it deserves to be, here is to everyone who loves their Z!

I own a 350 and in my opinion the VQ is a pretty hard motor to make fast especially the DE, rarely you see a well built, fast ass 350z. Props to this guy and nice build!

+Nafir Alvarez the moment you realize that Z engine is in Nissan minivans and altima's lmao. The vq35hr's are barely different than the vq35de. No, neither of them are really powerful, but 280hp from a 3.5 v6 back in the mid-2000's was a damn good number. You can put some insane power out of them with the right tuning and forced induction. The fact that he's running 700HP is mostly thanks to E85 and it's low detonation point. he prob gets 5mpg but its fun while it lasts!

I HAVE AN IDEA! The issue about starting while rolling for street racers.. I want to make an app that allows you to sync with another phone near you (in the car beside you) and give both phones an identical countdown or drag tree setup, whichever the user prefers, and once both drivers select "ready" on the app the countdown starts and is exactly the same for both drivers. therefore there is no yelling 321!, no honking. completely silent and in sync:) it could even use GPS to select a winner and give an exact quarter mile length and time. Maybe have a "sign in" and track your win/loss against your friends and other stats.. wow this really got snowballing haha! What do you guys think?

Too cool! I own a 2004 Z and even in stock form, they can go. With twin turbos the Z must be amazing to drive. The other thing I like about the Z is how well balanced it is with respect to handling. A lot of cars have great 0-60 times, but handle awful. The Z has a nice balance between acceleration, baking and handling. And to me, that is what makes a great sports car.

Turbo muffles a lot of the noise. Anyways too many guys have ratty setups. Muffler deletes sound awful and the most common exhaust setup (HKS knockoffs) need an X-pipe mod that a lot of broke mofo's don't do. Non-resonated test pipes only make the previous setups worse.

My uncles used to drive Yamaha YZF-R6's For a few years without any accidents because they followed the law, I'm sure they went fast a few times here and there but they're not much of a risk taker. Going fast isn't bad and I honestly don't care about the law but I'm saying that going that fast on a motorbike is a huge risk that you have to take in consideration.

twisterxelite of course it's a risk. Everything about owning a motorbike is a risk. If they were safe they'd be boring. No one would buy one. The risk and the thrill is half the allure of bikes in the first place. As for your utterly stupid comment that obeying the law makes you safe, there are many dead motorcyclists that would disagree with that. The law is made by people who don't ride bikes and don't have a first clue about the real dangers of riding. It does not keep you safe. There are millions of drivers out there that are just waiting to get their turn to kill a law abiding motorcyclist. Not to mention many law abiding motorcyclists get themselves dead without any help from anyone else. And your uncle's owned r6's eh? real law abiding I bet - not. Lastly, 150 or so (despite what they tell you down at the pub, there are only 3 or 4 bikes that will hit a genuine 180 without nitrous or forced induction) in a straight lane on an empty multi lane freeway late at night is much, much safer than smashing through canyons.

he is probably running the cd009 nissan trans which is the strongest trans for the vq35, alot of people use them with sr20s and 1/2jz and the cd009 is good till 650 whp stock and are pretty cheap . this one might be abit beef'd up

also automatics trans are a no no when going boost, they last a bit longer with superchargers but turbos burn the clutch packs real badly unless is a build auto trans, that's why all the boosted z's and g's are mainly 6 speed with a cd009

I picked up my silver 07 base model hr with 170k miles it has almost 180k on it and will rebuild it for 700+. She still pulls. I keep her stock. I love the stock exhaust tone

I was considering getting a used Porsche 911 till I found out the maintenance costs and that it would cost me five hundred freaking dollars for an oil change . I said thank you but no thank you. at least for right now. the 350Z is looking like it might be very much up my alley .I love the look, compact ,on the lighter side it's got good power out of the gate, and it cost a fraction to upkeep than the 911.
