About two weeks ago, my dog got sick. He's been sick before, and had to have his spleen removed. He couldn't get up from where he was, and we were scared. He stayed in the bathroom, and all of a sudden he tried to get up, so I told my parents I would take him to my room, to lay on my bed, since he always loved to. (He was a beagle, Jack Russell Mix.) I helped him up, and I could tell he was in so much pain. So, I decided to play him a couple of songs. One of them being A thousand years, and the other being this song. I told him it would be alright. The next morning I had a soccer tournament and played my first game. After my first game, my dad came to get me. I knew right then, my best-friend wasn't okay. He told me we had to put him down, and I just broke. He was my best-friend for 9 years, he was all I've ever known. We headed up to the town in which he was, and entered the vets office. There he was, in a little room surrounded by my family. He looked at me, and it broke my heart. He knew what was happening. I walked in and sat by him. We told him he was a good boy, everyone was crying. Then, the doctor walked in, and the last thing he did was look at me, before she gave him the shots. Worst thing I've been through. Rest in peace barney door, we love you so much, we hope you finally get to eat that treat I buried with you, since you couldn't eat it when you were sick, and now you can. I hope you're chasing butterflies, and playing with other dogs. I hope I see you again one day, I just know I will. Who's a good boy?

Does anyone feel just as heartbreaking sad as I do, when listening to that song? Not a normal sadness but one that hurts physically so much and makes you long for love for the whole world. One that makes you not wanting to kill yourself but just disappear like dust in the wind. This song hurt's so much because it makes me feel the longing for real freedom and real love. Emotion's that I am trying to bury to survive this life 'cause when I look around all I see is unbearable pain, so much sadness, anger and hate and it breaks my heart over and over. I just wish we all would stop feeling anger or hate and just love because for me love is the key to everything and this world lacks so much of it. Too much.

During may, I lost my pet rabbit. Now, I know it "was just a rabbit" but he was my first and only friend. I wasn't very popular at school, so I would come home and wipe my tears to see a playful bunny rabbit wanting to play with me. He is the only reason I kept going through school, through all the bullying, all the suffering. But when he went... for the first time, I felt lost, like I didn't know what to do or what to say. This song will and always will remind me of the times when we used to run around the garden together, eat our food together and cuddle up together. I miss him, so very much.

In my opinion, this song is the gradual display of love and hate warring across time. You love someone at one point, but it turns on you, and you're left, standing there in the middle of her bedroom, staring. You don't remember why you have her first kisses in your hand. You can't recall the way her lips felt, the way her skin tasted. You don't know where she is, but you know you miss her. And you hate her for destroying you, but you can't hate someone you love, can you? It shouldn't be possible, but it is, paradoxical as it may seem. And you're still standing there, so sorry. You're so sorry that you weren't right for her. You're so sorry that she can't love you. You're so sorry that it was all a test. She passed, and you failed. And you resent her for that. But you adore that beautiful monster, because without love, what is there for you to receive? Of course, you can't remember anything, so how do you know this is love that you're feeling? The thing with music is that it can reach in and pull out the real you. I think how you feel and interpret music such as this can say a lot about where you are right now. The thing is this type of music does not make me feel down, sad, depressed or lonely. Instead it makes me feel happy, inspired, wanting to create and humble.
