It's probably very thick brush there. The climb isn't even that bad

Putting rails or even ropes in the middle of the Sleeping Bear Dunes would ruin the beauty of it.

I'm a paramedic from that area and it's not a fine. Want to take a guess how much it costs the citizens to rescue people from the dune climb.
