I don't think you can compare these 2 games since Saint's Row was just built to be fun,it doesn't take things serious as Sleeping Dogs. It's obvious Sleeping Dogs will beat it.

2006-2014 was golden age. Corporations have managed to get their greedy hand in mix and starting to ruin gaming. Systems used to cost less after a while. We'll see if you can get a ps5 for 300 bucks, yeah right. I was officially out when it was released. I'll use that money somewhere useful in my life. You shouldn't still be gaming heavy after your 40.

I would say that the "golden age" ended after 2015, which was a fucking banger year. We got Witcher 3, Arkham Knight, MGS V, Bloodborne, Fallout 4 (slightly controversial but sold well), and several others that were solid. To give an example, Mad Max also came out in 2015, but the monster line up of games released in the same year absolutely drowned it out. Personally, I think it would have been a standout game if it were released just a year or two later, due to the massive drop-off in gaming that came after.

Everything comes and goes. We will eventually have another great era. That doesn't mean we don't have other awesome games these days. (That saints row reboot isn't one of those)

and this is why i still play sleeping dogs to this very day. people crapped on this game all because they were GTA fans. if you really give it a chance sleeping dogs is a really enjoyable game. i just wish they could have done a proper sequel and reboot and just fix the minor glitches in this game and it would be perfect

You don't need to compare Saints Row reboot to other open-world games. Just compare it with the previous Saints Row games in the series, and you'll already discover how lacking the reboot is.

I even compared saints row reboot to GTA 1 released in 1997 and I found 4-5 things where GTA 1 outperforms saints row reboot. I will post the video soon

Remember, Square sold all of it's western studios and the games made by those studios to Embracer. Sleeping Dog is one of those IP's sold to Embracer, so the future of the franchise is not really looking good.

I just 100%ed Sleeping dogs again on PC.....for 3 bucks and had more fun content to do then this waste of 60 dollars. Gaming peaked around the 2012-2013 mark, afterwards, all it went down hill. Sure we see glimpses of great stuff RDR2 and ER but besides the blue moon the AAA gaming is fucked by greed and corporatism.

Lack of both quality and quantity... PS3/360 Era had a lot of great games, then since PS4/XB1, game production slowed down and a lot of shitty games came out. AAA games especially from Ubisoft are just the same games with different skins.

@@azimuth011 My thoughts exactly. When I was a kid. The Ps2 and 360 library is HUGE and you could find even a lot of AA or random games out on those. Now on this and last gen, its either a shit F2P Live service tat or AAA garbage with the same bog standard trimming of features each year. I guess most companies just gave up. One of the reasons I switched to PC for more variety in my games. But now I just end up playing 10 year old titles lol.

I'm currently playing Sleeping dogs and I also had some thoughts on how inferior the recent saints row is compared to this game. Triple A games are such a downgrade nowadays that i prefer playing older games. So glad to watch this comparison video. Further proof that current games are sadly made and managed by lazy and greedy people.

The only reasonable explanation for all the shortcoming of saints row 5 is the pedestrian reactions toward guns, saints row take place in US so this is normal:) Seriously, when sleeping dogs was released it was even not the best open-world game in that era, but he still managed to beat a 2022 game that developers claims they have excellent idea, how embarassing. Sleeping dogs is extremely underrated!
