Sleeping in a HAUNTED CAVE - NEVER AGAIN..
YEA DAWGIES welcome back to another video.
After being told about a cave that was HAUNTED I challenged myself to a solo camping mission in this haunted cave. It's safe to say it was the scariest night of my life haha the sounds I heard and moving objects still give me goosebumps to this very day.
Do you believe in ghosts?

I got goose bumps from hearing that chain rattle. I think the only explanation is that another adventurer decided to check out the cave at night time as well. Always, always take water and extra food. A grappling hook with rope in case you are using a provided entry like that chain or rope as both can malfunction over time. Also when you go out into places like this you should carry a personal locater beacon. Of course it won't help you in a cave, but if you can crawl out it will be your most valuable possession.

This cave is water-carved. The fact that it sits in a dry wash means that during the rainy season, water is funneled down it to places deeper in the earth, which is why those passages look to have been used by something moving through but leaving no tracks. Also, the cave breathes, which accounts for some of the noises you hear - air moving through the passages and over the surfaces.

When I was about 14, I lived in Lansing Michigan and we had these hills with lots of trees and in the winter it got really dark and spooky, I went into the middle of the woods on a dark windy winters night and just tried to stand there alone in the dark in the woods, the trees were swaying and creeking and groaning. Both creepy and terrifying, I lasted about 20 minutes. I walked out slowly and calmly. I was scared as hell, but I forced myself to overcome my fears. Trust me i grew a few years older that night. 15:20 I would think a lot of that feeling is that when you're isolated like that and some of our senses are being deprived (lack of light, void of sound, etc.) the rest of our senses are heightened and extra tuned in, so we're hyper aware of everything around us, which is why you might be feeling like you're being watched. Similar to sensory depravation chambers and how it can induce lucid hallucinations in extreme instances. Anyhow, that was some scary shit and I can't believe you ended up staying the whole night.

"It's just a cave" Exactly, the mentality you need. At the end of the day, all you theoretically need to worry about are wild animals and the creepy crawlies, other than that it's just a cavity in the crust of the earth. The intense emotions you feel just come from your body being on edge because of the impact horror entertainment has had on our lives. Your imagination is your worst enemy in situations like that

Yea not taking water out into the bush can often be a death sentence. One of my mates almost died of dehydration when we went camping out in the bush. He said he was gonna go look for food and that he'd only be a few hours after about six hours I found him up against a tree with severe heatstroke I got him medical help and he made a full recovery however sometimes I think if I didn't go look for him he'd be another of the hundreds of sun-dried skeletons in Australia's bush.

The hissing sound is atmospheric pressure. Those caves are like Swiss cheese. Airflow being channeled through what is effectively an echo box makes all sorts of strange noises. Think about whistling through pipes. It's a similar thing. As for that ladder, it was suspended at the bottom by ropes. You weren't in a vacuum, things in nature move. Wind, airflow and temperate create movement.

I've been watching a bunch of ScaryInteresting's videos recently about cave accidents and I was terrified watching this man - you've gotta' be super careful in caves, often times beacons and things like that will not work underground either, and it takes one little slip for a rock to pin your leg, and you can be toast faster than you think. In future, I'd strongly recommend going with a partner or something just in case, and making sure people know where you are and having super tight times to call for rescue. Honestly, I'd avoid going deep in caves like the plague to be honest - it's just really dangerous stuff sometimes - there have been cases where people knew exactly where the person was and it still took days to rescue them because of how dangerous it was there - that's if they could be rescued at all. That being said, amazing video as always man - I just want to make sure you stay safe and healthy, that's all, I guess it's just the over-protective dad side of me, hahaha. But that said, I know you're super careful and everything and I'm sure you do take plenty of precautions. :) Anyway, thanks for continuing to make your videos, they're awesome. :) Stay safe! :)

I've done a LOT of paranormal investigations in my day and some of my creepiest investigations were in caves. It is quite possible that what was being heard was not the actual ladder noises but the cave "playing back" ladder sounds as a sort of "audible EVP". The hissing sound might have been an animal, but without further investigation, it could have been something or... someone, down there with you. And yes, those sounds would have scared the heck out of me too. One survival comment to make. Going out there alone, without water, first aid kit and decent communications gear into a cave is an incredibly dangerous thing. I am reminded of the deck boss telling Maverick in Top Gun "Son... your ego is writing checks your body can't cash". There is only one of you and if something happens and you end up checking out when it was something that you could have avoided having to do, it would be tragic for you and your family and girlfiend. I hope you take this into advisement from someone who HAS been in real survival situations more than once. I have had to extricate myself out of situations that could have gone badly and some were with me ill prepared and having made some bone-headed moves to go in under equipped. As the old scout saying goes: "Be Prepared". Again... not criticism, just a piece of advice from an old salt who has seen a thing or two and wants to see you keep making great video. God Bless Brother.

There's a reason we should listen to our gut. (edit) There's the California Caverns here in Cali and the natives used to throw their criminals down into it, so when the first European settlers found and explored it one side of one of the chambers was littered with bones. Then not to far away from that is the Moaning Caverns and got its name because the cave actually made a moaning sound which drew people to it, and which just a hole in the ground with a 180 foot drop to the bottom of the main chamber. The bones in that one were from people who just fell in it, some bones are pushing 12,000 years old.

As kids we explored our local caves and one had a bear in it and that was the last cave I’d ever go into I leave the cave missions to Field Days

My general philosophy is, if it's a hole in the ground, of all things that might go explore it or live there, I'm neither of those. Would be cool if you went back with company and explored more.

That was fun, mate. In the 80s in my twenties, I hitched pretty much the whole continent, barring Darwin to Perth. Did a few walkabouts to go beyond that comfort zone. Keep it up.

That weird sound was most likely wind funneling through some of the small channels in that cave. Some of those may even lead to outside. As for the chain rattling, that ladder is attached at the bottom by rope to the tree vines/roots on each side in order to prevent it from swinging while using it. Those vines may have moved quite a bit in the wind and as such, the chain ladder may have rattled from that. Either way, that was entertaining and I would have been totally freaked out as well!
