The reason for the locked BPM is the same as the reason why they restricted everyone to a single scale. It's so having more than one Octavia in a party wouldn't turn into an earbleed.

This showed up randomly on my feed and... i love it. I suck at understanding music but i gathered more from this video than a few years of high school band classes. I haven't even played warframe in months because i got bored of it but i might just play again just to mess around on octavia with some of my favorite songs blasting. (If you could make mandascores for a few of the P5R songs, specifically "I believe" "Colors flying high" and "Gentle madman" you would make my day)

For her 3, you can always do what a lot of people do and fill the melody up so you can't miss. But overall, you can think of having to continually refresh her ability timers to be analogous to how a DJ has to continually start new tracks and time them correctly.

I'm kinda dumbfounded that Octavia Prime didn't get a second wheel per song to work with at LEAST... having a bit more time would make SO many Octavia songs better and be less repetitive sounding. I have a few decent ones but it's just obnoxious when you have to consider "is this 'song' gonna annoy the hell out of me and everyone else after more than one cast" cause almost all actual song adaptations WILL do that cause you're only getting a few seconds of the hook IF your lucky...I have a "combat mix" I use with is just some droning tune that sounds ok and has a stable enough beat to time actions to for the buffs but it sounds like crap if your ACTUALLY listening to it but it's ok for endurance running to turn your brain off to..
