I don't got peoples who hate their new sound. Pop/rock fits much better than post-hc. I really like their older albums, but when you listen to this album you can hear that this is the style they want to be. Kellin's vocals fits better to this style than post-hardcore. His screams wasn't very good (sorry..) And there was and is still thousands of bands which sounds just same than sws's first two record :)

his screamo has always sounded good. I think you enjoy this more because you can hear his emotions better as he gets more vocal range and the beat isn't as loud. it's kinda hard to portray emotions well when you're trying to make it audible compared to the beat.

The only reason this album disappointed me was because I was expecting heavier. Taking that aside, the album is still okay. Musically it's kinda bland with the execption of a few songs, no not Kick Me or We Like It Loud because "they're the only heavy ones." I mean like November and Madness sound pretty unique. The rest of the progressions and melodies are very common, and while that may be the change they went for, and even though the lyrics are heartfelt, they've made much better music before this. If anything, Madness made me appreciate Feel more. I still like SWS, that hasn't changed, I just think this album is going to be loved more for its lyrics than its composition. And people, especially young people that connect to their songs deeply (i know i did), confuse that and end up defending SWS to the death even if people are giving opinions about the music without insulting it. In my humble opinion, that's all I think.

i agree completely i think its defiantly a solid album and the lyrics are great and its so much better than feel but it seemed a little boring at points i loved November and Madness really got my attention but i feel that now being off Rise they had alot more room to experamint with new sounds so thats exactly what they did. While I love old Sleeping With Sirens, this new album has started to grow on me. While it is definitely more pop rock, the songs that aren't (such as this one), have really taken with me. If they started doing more pop punk like this, I think they'd be even bigger. I know Kellin is a fan of 5SOS so idk... Perhaps a collab? I'm hoping they go in a pop punk direction and follow 5SOS, The Story So Far, Real Friends, etc. I really think they could pull it off. And it doesn't seem like they'll be going back to making songs like "Captain Tyin Knots..." so fingers crossed for a pop punk SWS album.
