it feels like falling it feels like pain Like losing my balance Again and again It once was so easy; Breathe in. breathe out But at the foot of this mountain I only see clouds I feel out of focus Or at least indisposed As this strange weather pattern Inside me takes hold Each brave step forward I take three steps behind It's mind over matter - Matter over mind Slowly Then all at once A single loose thread And it all comes undone Where there is light A shadow appears The cause and effect When life interferes The same rule applies To goodness and grief; For in our great sorrow We learn what joy means I don’t want to fight I don’t want to fight it But I will learn to fight I will learn fight ’til this pendulum finds equilibrium Slowly Then all at once The dark clouds depart And the damage is done So pardon the dust While this all settles in With a broken heart Transformation begins

Your songs give me such pure, unfiltered catharsis. I've cried nearly every time I've listened to this one in particular, and each time, I find a kind of joyful abandon in the sweeping emotions in the lyrics. Sorrow comes to us so slowly, so softly, and then all at once, and it leaves us breathless. What an experience.

Where there is light, a shadow appears/the cause and effect when life interfers/the same rule applies to goodness and grief/for in our great sorrow, we learn what joy means. I love love love how it's so simply said, but beautiful. As much as I love the video, is it bad that I wish there was more to this fooage? I'm not a minimalist and I'm not patient enough. But I did get chills when the sunburst started.

Incredible song that was with me after the death of my young brother, from opioids and addiction. I'm not embarrassed to say that I wept many times to the words of this amazing inspired song. And like everyone else posting on this thread, there are several lines that really resonate with me. If I could give one example: the line where he says "Slowly, then all at once A single loose thread And it all comes undone." This reminds me of the earlier stages in my grieving when I was at work or with friends and I'd be feeling good and then someone would inadvertantly say a trigger word or phrase and it would make me think of my brother and I'd leave the room to go cry somewhere in private. Those were some pretty rough times.
