I 100% agree. I just love the books even after all these years (and so many books) I'm rereading them. Movies did miss out a lot, especially the 1st one (this is my opinion), so everyone thinks it's a trivial teenage story with some sparkling vampires. But it isn't. I mean, the vampire thing is not even that important to me. Stephenie could have decided to make him a member of any secret society.
