I seen the Big Horns didn’t get much snow..so I’m hoping they get the spring rains and snow so the grass will grow for the ranchers that take their cattle to the mountains..,Moving the cows and calves..those babies little legs are getting tired of walking….Looks like a cold cloudy day….Love watching all those cows and calves..

I always enjoy the cattle drives. You make it a family affair. Question? Do you rake the old hay up off the pasture, or just let it lay and the new grass grows threw it? Fencing is a never ending job. I remember the tunnel from last fall. I listen to the cattle balling, makes me wonder how noisy it would be when they herded thousands of head back in the day. Thanks for sharing Been getting rain and storms here in Iowa. Over 6 inches last few weeks.

Held my breath a couple of times. All those calves at the back could have turned out a lot different than it did. Great to see so much grass considering how chilly it's been. We need some warm days & nights for ours down here to get growing. Calves look healthy.

Fencing OMG had a teenage driver wipe out almost 500 feet of my 6 strand horse wire fence. He would have ended up in my creek if it weren’t for the bar ditch and my fence. Insurance will have to fight it out.. the kid driving to fast for wet road . Herd is looking good. Calves growing and spring is here .

how do you rotate the fields the cattle graze on?... and with so much cowpies (great fertilizer) how do you manage the fields? cuz i know the fields need to recover after grazein and cowpies need to incorporate?.. do you alternate some of your crop fields with grazing ? and what is the right of way on the roads you're driving the cows on?suggestion..... put a solar panel up and string some LEDs down that tunnel.. if it wasn't dark the cows might not be so scared...
