🌘 Hey guys! Today I am here to share a very special album. This work of art opened the incredible world of ambient music for me far in 2004. This is the album "Calling Down The Sky" by, without exaggeration, legendary Robert Rich. He is definitely my favorite ambient music artist of all time. Yes, the album is pretty old and all that... But I just can't keep myself from upload it to my channel. In my opinion, that albums like this one are just imperishable. It's a big honor for me, to be able to share this diamond with you on my little channel. Hope you'll enjoy it. But if this is the first time for you of listening to Robert Rich in general or this certain album particularly, then I even envy you (in a good meaning). It probably would be pretty corny to talk about airy lap steel with ebow sounds or any part of the album in general... Just try to open your mind right now, to feel every little detail in this album. Peace

' album is pretty old ' ... In another couple of centuries, maybe! I hope the technology to play it will still be around - and people to appreciate it. It is - in the true sense of the word - wonderful. Full of wonders. My proof? Listen!

@@sleeptrip I think this lapsteel - whatever this even is - is one of the most annoying sounds i have ever heard and it makes the majority of Robert Richs albums pretty much unlistenable to me. It sounds like someone is torturing a cat! This guy has truckloads of synths and half the time all you hear is that stupid cat sound. On top his dynamic range is a bad joke. Robert Rich gives mastering classes but when i listen to his albums i am under the strong impression that this man has no clue about dynamics and mastering. A dynamic range between 7 and 10 is desirable but Rich uses dynamic ranges of 14 or even more. This means that when you listen to his albums in a decent volume you won't even hear the quite parts. But when you listen his albums at a volume where you can hear the quite parts the louder parts wich are 14 db louder then the quite parts will make your ears bleed. Especially in Ambient music this totally penetrant approach makes absolutely no sense. On top of it people act like R.Rich is a genius when he clearly is a clueless new age hippie that neither understands ambient music nor dynamic range in our times. Most people can't afford a special concert room just to listen to their albums and most of us have relatives and neighbours so what exactly is the point in 14 dB dynamic range on a god damn ambient album? This guy is just nuts.
