Hi Ken, hope you're having a great day! I'm glad I came across your tutorial,which is very clear and concise. BTW, I enjoyed reading your back story about Art Garfunkel, brilliant! Anyway, Your style of teaching makes it easy to follow, and I appreciate the small sections repeated. I saw a comment about your pick/necklace, (which I admired). Don't hide it mate, it's who you are. I was concentrating on the instruction and forgot all about it. Love from Australia

Hi Ken, thankyou for the fantastic Sleepwalk tut, I have finally nailed it thanks to you, the backing track is good but there is a glitch between 27 and 28 seconds, can this be sorted because I would really like to use it as it fits in with your tutorial.... Regards Ron...
@Daetalus677 жыл бұрын
Hey Ken, great stuff! Look man, I rarely subscribe to a channel, but I have been noodling around with the guitar for about 20 years but just playing chords and strumming along while singing songs and learning an occasional riff here and there and a scale or two. I finally decided that I really need to get way better since I just can't sing so not something I can do for others that they would be able to enjoy. What they could enjoy however, is listening to me play some great guitar so with that I am dedicating myself to really learning to play. First I just wanted to start off with one song that I learn all the way through that I can play with a backing track for my wife and her mother, you know little goals =) And I have to say, this first lesson to a great instrumental song has been quite awesome! I got this first part down and am now just getting it ingrained in muscle memory and polishing it up. I really look forward to the rest of these videos but I am not going to move forward until I am completely solid on this part first. Thank you very much! Your effort and time and expertise is so greatly appreciated and per your request I am going to subscribe and I will be sure to like all of your videos and I will spread your name and channel, its the least I can do. Thanks again, Jimbo
@kenmercermusic7 жыл бұрын
Hello Jimbo, thanks so much for your kind message. Making videos does take lots of time and effort but getting a message like this from people like yourself makes it all worthwhile. It's nice to hear how you are making progress with your playing and that my videos are helping you to achieve your goals. The key to playing well is to break things down in to small parts and practice over and over again. When you think you have practiced enough practice some more. I remember times where I have practiced so much I have fallen asleep with my guitar haha. It's very rewarding when you feel progress is being made, I wish you all the very best with your playing and I hope it brings you loads of good times! Thanks for spreading the word and subscribing to my channel! Ken :-)
