vocal melody is extremely creative, unpredictible, so it is not hard to produce these notes with the voice, range is not so hard, intervals as well (except the -devil voice- part haha it is amazing and so hard for loads of people), it is hard to "think" and "imagine" this unpredictible notes, i mean understanding it, and this makes the piece special.

I still remember the first song I have ever laid ears on... "For You". What a world opening before my eyes, they were my door to gothic rock and doom metal. So many bands I would never know existed without them. From Fields of the Nephilim to My Dying Bride... I love the first albums, but I have to say that Venus Doom is, to me, their best album. It is amazingly mixed and produced, the lyrics are amongst the best Valo has written, the guitars are back into prominence and the vocals, even if not as diverse as in GL or RR are a good mix. If only, I wish Mr. Valo had taken advantage of his baritone voice much more and dialled down on the nasal tone he used for the albums past Love metal. A big thanks to Mr. Tim Palmer and Hiili Hiilesmaa from bringing the magic back for the best album of their career.

funny how ville tells linde that there is no solo in the next song "killing lonliness", but how it does relate to him when he is fairly medicated. valo is so much healthier now after rehab. i was at this show and it was amazing, totally blew the show the gave at the wiltern after Darklight right out of the water.
