1:00 I just noticed Ichabod's mom is dancing inside a fairy ring. We call these a 'witches ring' in Dutch, because according to folkore, witches caused them to sprout and danced in the centre of them. Given what we know about Ichabod's mother, I'd say this set decoration was intentional!

At least Icabod's mother was a very thoughtful caring devoted mother. She was a nature lover and she was a good witch. It's so sad that Icabod had a very cruel and evil father. The kind of father who wasn't loving. The kind who became a murderer towards Icabod's mother. All because he believed his wife was a sevant of Satan? No. He killed her because he was a real sick piece of shit. At least Icabod is nothing like his father. Plus, it's realistic that he was just a child with a surpressed memory on how his mother was condemned to death.

It boggles me that his dad is a priest, a man of God. I know that in those days, people were strict about Witchcraft, but Geez! Last I checked, there's a commandment that says "thou shalt not kill". How can that man call himself a man of God when he killed a woman who was both his own wife and someone who technically did nothing wrong?

I didn't know that when I saw the movie for the first time but now, I know that the actress who played Ichabod's mother (Lisa Marie) is Tim Burton's ex-wife. Now that I know that and that Tim Burton gave her the role of the hero's mother in the movie, I think it's disturbing😬

His mother was an Angel. But his Father was a real Satan! Those type of hypocrites who think they’re going to be gone on earth, but they forgot something. They are not God therefore they don’t know how to fear the real God, but his mother truly lives out to God’s image as a peaceful, loving mother.
