The melody from Sleepy Lagoon is used on the Efteling in Kaatsheuvel (the Netherlands), with the AQUANURA Show. In the start from the AQUANURA Show and later on 3/4 from the show.

Thank you for your kindly friendly email, dear S.H. Britt. Yes, there were a lot of notes played before the song was ended, this song invited me to jump very generously with the notes. Here in Laag-Soeren it took more than two hours before the video was uploaded. In Enschede it's ten minutes. (If everything goes well.) I hope there is no additional noise due to the long upload. This piece of music is also from a book of the second hand shop. The melodies in this piece made me so familiar and inviting that I just played it this morning. The weather in the Netherlands is rapidly becoming less. Autumn has really started with rain showers and a lot of wind. Hope that you can sit in Stockholm with a warm stove. It is of course also cozy. And yes, than dreaming of beautiful Sunny Bounty islands. WGMH Harry your house pianist, also for autumn.

Yes, Harry, this video does give us a cozy time...and so much more! Did you play this piece during your Hotel days? No doubt, it drew a huge crowd of hotel guests! The world would've listened to this song on radio during WWII...and later by cafe' society from almost every country in the world! I have many nostalgic fond memories of listening to this music by the likes of Harry James (trumpeter); Mantovani Orchestra; Tommy Dorsey Band; Henry Mancini...and sang by the Platters...and Doris Day (and these are only American recordings, and do not include the many other wonderful musicians and artist's from other countries)...and now you...Dutch...my newest piano favorite added to this growing list!
